Slash, er, SnipTeek smiled and patted the woman’s hand with a slight laugh. “It’s ok to be the one on the receiving end, occasionally.” She sat back as their food arrived. “So… Doc… Let me introduce you to breakfast. Breakfast, this is the Doc.” She winked and reached over to hand the woman a fork. “A cup of stimulant to open your eyes isn’t enough. A person on the go, like yourself, needs more than that.”
“A pleasure to meet your acquaintance, breakfast.” There was nothing short of facetious amusement littering her tone, as she took the fork with a grateful incline of her head. “It seems like you’re more of a doctor than I am, at this point.” She joked, noting the nutritional information, of sorts, she was offering.
As she lifted her own fork, she took a chance on surprising the woman again. “Has anyone checked on YOU recently? That whole fiasco with the murder here, then alien takeover and explosions, was all crazy! Are you doing ok? I’m guessing you never were told to talk a couple days to get yourself back together, huh?”
“Ah.. no. We doctors have a way of being seen as the trauma-healers, nobody really expects us to have emotional issues. That is, just as people would never assume a Captain to express fear. Stigmas, if you would.” She offered a small humm, along with her words. While having not been spoken to about the need for rest, she hadn’t exactly asked for it either, making it a twoway street. “Nope! There is no sleep for the mighty, not in our neck of the woods.. or space, really.”
Depending on the woman’s answer, the manager of the club thought she may have to have a word with the station overseer. Even trauma staff needed a break now and then.
“What of you, Teek’ma? You might not be Starfleet, but that doesn’t mean you aren’t impacted by our foolishness. Thus, how have you been?”
Teek laughed. The woman sure was quick on spinning the table. She would have to watch herself around the Doc. “I’m well. This is the furthest I’ve ever been from Earth, so it’s exciting, daunting, scary, exhilarating and lonely all at once.” She laughed once more and took another bite. Winking, she added, “But bar tenders aren’t meant to express thoughts. Merely to listen and offer wanted advice, not true advice. Like a Doctor who doesn’t sleep or a Captain who isn’t afraid of anything… Stigma.”
“And if you don’t mind me asking, what did you do while you were on Earth? Did you bartend and manage businesses there, as well?” Odraavi genuinely enjoyed learning about the people around her, as the Magellan was a rather culturally diverse institution on the edge of Federation space. “Well, as you are breaking mine, allow me to break your stigma.”
Having struck out at the Blue Note, Mord made his way over to the busier club, the Mystique, and slid in the back, starting to people watch. He didn’t interact with anyone, not at first, but he took his tabled and a PaDD and began to write down the occasional note about people he saw.

Mord’s entrance wasn’t lost on Teek’ma. Very little was. Shifting her seat as if making herself better able to eat, she kept half an eye on the man taking notes. Plenty of folks came in here to write up shift reports, update records, even correspondences home weren’t out the ordinary. It wasn’t that he was writing that made her curious, it was wondering what he was writing ‘about’ that made her keep half an eye on him.
Teek’ma
Manager“Is something wrong?” Nisihe dared to ask. Despite being a telepath, she didn’t exactly actively respond to the change in emotion or aura of a room, or even notice it, at times.

DocTeek looked back at the woman and even blushed. “I am sorry. I didn’t realize… Yes, everything is all right. I just like keeping an eye on things.” She glanced once more at Mord and then merely kept him at the corner of her vision. “So… I would say to maintain our ‘stigma’ and reputations, we should make a pact.” The woman laughed and leaned over slightly, looking around as if about to divulge some great secret. To anyone looking on, it looked like a conspiracy in the making. In barely a whisper loud enough for the Doc to hear, Teek smiled and said, “I promise to make you breakfast once every few days and give you a chance to vent. And in return, I’ll be honest when you ask for my opinion or feelings. How’s that for bucking the status quo?” She laughed and sat back wriggling her eyebrows like it was the greatest thing in the world.

Odraavi liked this woman. She found it almost sad she hadn’t bothered to come down, prior. Teek seemed like a unique character, but perhaps it was that Orion charisma. After all, Orion, even partially so, women tended to be rather intriguing people. “A pact.. go on..” Odraavi leaned forwards, clasping her hands upon the table, her eyes assuming a nature as though she had been tuning in to the most important discussion of her entire life.. the making of this ‘pact.’ “So long as you keep our pact a secret, I don’t see why not.” She smirked, a rare sight, before her nature returned to an amicable laugh.
Mord made a few more notes in his book before smiling an awkward and broken smile at the few people who looked his way. He tried to not draw attention to himself but then again he stuck out like a space trader with something to hide. “I should just do this and go. I don’t quite fit in, do I?” he muttered to himself but then ordered a drink to start sipping. Something fizzy. All he needed to do was the thing he was paid to do and he could leave.

“That man seems almost lonely,” Odraavi remarked, her gaze snaking towards the man who had assumed a position behind that table of his. “Is he one of your regulars?”
