Hello Magellan crew,

It is with a heavy heart we write to you now. If you have not read command, Starbase Magellan was decommissioned on 4/15. Before we try to answer some questions you may have I would like to say a few words.

Kate and I will miss reading your stories and being a part of your crew even if it was as avid readers of your character’s experiences. Every situation has different perspectives and every end results in one having to choose a new path. While the decommissioning of Starbase Magellan is an ending it is also the start of many new beginnings which is why I chose that section of Richard Aldington’s quote to share with you. Kate and I have read and followed your stories not because we were your FComm and AFComm but because your brilliance in storytelling and engaging storylines were amazing reads. It is our sincerest hope that the stories and adventures of the Magellan crew will now continue on different ships among the fleets so that more people will see the excellence in storytelling Kate and I were honored and privileged to be a part of. Thank you for letting us be a part of your Magellan family.

So now what do we do? The current plan is to wrap up the main sim and any storylines over the next month. The personnel department is available to help you find new ships for your characters. Anything I can do for you to help ease this transition please do not hesitate to reach out to me or Kate. Again thank you both past and present crews of Starbase Magellan for all your years of hard work and dedication to the starbase and Infinite Fleet.
