The movement from the steps quickly pulled Kate’s attention from the exchange between the journalist and the XO. Shifting her body slightly, she stepped to block the other individual’s escape, a pleasant smile on her face. “May I help you?”

Lt Trent, SOO

“Oh there is plenty of work for around here for all of us,” Aaron said. He noticed Kate standing to the side and nodded towards her. “Though if you are looking for work I’m sure we can help you find something.”

LtCmdr Foley - XO

“Where Ben Gillespie goes, my work is never far behind,” Simon replied. Seeing that Mord wished to leave, the journalist took out a small business card and held it out in the alien’s direction.

“Give our conversation some thought, Mr. Mord and let me know how you would like to proceed,”

Mord took a step back and accepted the card before frowning. “No offense…” he looked down and read the card, “Mister Jacobs, but if I had my druthers I wouldn’t be coming back here anytime soon. I am sure any perceived, uh, oversight was on my part.”

He glanced at Trent and Foley before muttering something under his breath about needing to get off this station before anything worse happened.

GM Wombat

“Is it me, or was that man scared of you?” Simon asked the officers.

Kate smiled charmingly at Simon. “It was you,” she replied, simply. “I don’t believe we’ve met, Lieutenant Trent, the SOO.” She offered her hand to Simon in introduction.

Trent, SOO

“Definitely think it was you. But if you will excuse me, I do have some other matters to attend to. I’m sure the Lieutenant would be more then happy to answer any of your questions.”
