SnipBraxton went back to his station and started digging deeper. Maybe there was security footage that could exonerate him or confirm his actions he thought.
Harris, CoS
Harris would find, pretty much exactly what happened. Mord docked his ship and once the power cables connected there was a surge that went into the starbase’s system moments before all heck broke loose. There were gaps in the security footage and other records as the core became compromised and various systems flickered off and on. All told, it appears Mord did exactly what he said he did. He was a patsy and fall guy.

Braxton walked over to Mord. “Mord you’re free to go.” Braxton pressed the button to open the cell for him. “While you’re here try not to return to the Brig.”
Harris, CoS
Mord did a double take of Harris and then stood, making his way towards the exit, and eventually his own ship, to sleep off whatever that woman slipped in his drink, and to sulk about the penalties of making wrong choices.

=^= Harris to Alpha team. Keep an eye out on Mord’s whereabouts…quietly and report back when he disembarks from the station. Harris out. =^=

Teek had been feeling guilty about what she’d done to the man. But then, she began to feel angry for what he’d done. Tired of her waffling feelings, the woman used a nearby panel on the promenade to find Mord’s whereabouts. Finding him in the brig, she headed down there determined to get answers, and satisfaction.
Teek stepped out of the lift and turned the corner just as Mord came the opposite direction. “Hey!” She cried out they collided and her surprise threatened to topple them both to the floor.

MYSTIQUE managerBraxton walked over to intervene “if you’re coming here for answers leave him be.” Braxton saying politely and sighed. “Follow me Teek.”
Harris
The man tumbled to the floor with a grunt and laid sprawled spread eagle looking up at the ceiling blinking a couple times but refusing to get up at first. He glanced over at Braxton then over to Teek before gruning something of an apology under his breath, looking for something to help hoist himself up off the ground.

Braxton reached out a hand to pick up Mord. “Are you injured?”
Harris
Teek gave a small cry of surprise as they went down in a tangle. When Braxton reached for Mord’s hand, a slight frown briefly flashed over Teek’s face. What kid of relationship did these two have that Braxton is telling her to leave him alone one minute, then offering him a hand up instead of her. She stood up and brushed off her slacks. “I’m fine, thanks…” she said with a bit of an edge to her voice at being slighted. Apparently chivalry was indeed dead in the blackness of space.
But then her frown deepened and had nothing to do with slighted feelings. “Wait… aren’t you supposed to be…” she glanced to Braxton wondering what the self proclaimed saboteur was doing roaming the hallways freely.
Teek
MYSTIQUE mngr“Teek do you have some time to talk?”
Harris
The man just looked between the two as they talked, refusing Harris’ hand, using a railing on the wall instead. “I’m fine,” he muttered before trying to shuffle past Teek and Harris leaving them to kibitz in peace, his thoughts having already drifted to other topics.
GM Wombat.
There manager of The Mystique glanced at Mord as he getting getting up then hurried past her. “Wait… I…” But the man was around the corner and gone before she could formulate a sentence. Glancing at Harris, her voice had an edge to it she didn’t try to hide or apologize for, “What is going on? He admitted to having part in the gravity and system debacle. Why is he roaming the halls?”
She may only be a civilian on the small floating city, but something certainly didn’t seem right. Harris wanted a moment of her time? In a few moments he may be regretting that request.
Teek
Civi“There’s evidence that says otherwise that he’s just the fall guy. Plus you drugged him which complicated his admission. That’s why I had no choice but to cut him loose. I’m letting him lead us to the real perpetrators.”
Harris, COS
Despite the lingering feeling of an I told you so looming on her nearby horizon, Teek crossed her arms and frowned. “Well I didn’t know that, did I? No… I had a man who had just confessed to meeting with my home. So i took action. Not like security was gonna rush to my side with everything else happening. Besides,” her temper started to settle and get volume dropped a bit, ” it was just a sleeping aid. Not like a dosed him with anything serious.”
She glanced over get shoulder at the direction the man had scurried. Pawn or not, he’d had to physically push buttons, or switches, or something. So in her mind, she was justified. She glanced back at Harris. “I’m sorry. I didn’t know what else to do…” She dropped her arms but didn’t simper. She wasn’t proud what she did, but she certainly didn’t regret it. “So what, now?” She wondered if her explanation was delaying his following the man or not.
It dawned on her she had rarely seen Harris in her establishment. Usually he was simply roaming the promenade. Probably on patrol, she mused. She’s have to see to it that he had down time occasionally. Like every other officer on the station she’d meet, she get he was a workaholic as well.
Teek
“Thank you for your help with this. I understand you had to do what you had to do. I’ve got his whereabouts tracked we’ll see if he meets up with anyone while he’s still here on the Starbase. Again thank you for your help with him. Be my ears for me again and notify me discreetly through a secure channel if you hear of anything Teek.”
Harris, CoS
That was it? Thank you and keep me posted?
She shook her head and threw her hands in the air. “I don’t understand you all. Probably good thing I’m not one of your cadets.” She shook her head but there was a smile tugging the corners of her mouth. “Harris… Next time you’re in theMystique, come find me. I owe you one. “She started to turn and mischief filled her narrowing eyes as she failed to hold back a short laugh. “I don’t know what it is… But I’m sure you have it coming.” Shaking her head once more, she turned to head back to the club. Maybe she’d been alone too long… Maybe she’d been civilian too long… Maybe he was just one of those frustrating types… Whatever it was, Teek found Harris to be mildly annoying, slightly good looking and ridiculously frustrating all in one package.

“What is it that you would like to have me do? I’ve held him longer than usual here. The fact that he was drugged complicated things especially his admission of guilt. His confession had become inadmissible by Starfleet protocol. I had no other choice but to release him.”
