Oh, the anticipation! But at the same time, there was the weight of earlier there. Avalise avoided looking at Ashley for a moment as they entered the turbolift, but then turned her head ever so slightly to look out the corner of her eye. “No promises, no strings,” she said, almost as if she needed to reminder herself of that fact. Ashley had already offered simply comfort and some time to forget the pain, but she needed there to be understanding or else this was doomed.

Ashley stopped as she heard those words, a small smile coming across her face as she found herself licking her lips as she looked at Avalise. “I am not looking for a girlfriend, not for one second. All I want is your clothes on my floor and you in my bed, and maybe to make you forget all these things and just feel good. Sometimes, you just need a release.” she said as she leaned in kissing her on her cheek.

The lift opened a moment later and Avalise stepped out, briefly looking over her shoulder. “I’m glad we agree, otherwise it’d be a short evening.” She continued along, knowing where she was going, but moving at a relaxed enough pace that Ashley wouldn’t have to work hard to catch up.

Soon enough, they arrived and Avalise simply leaned on the outside of the door for a moment.
