“Emma,” the girl whispered clutching Bugsie to her chest, her eyes were still watery, and her face red, but now she was no longer crying. “Mama is w-working, and I was hungry but then Daddy got stung,” she sniffled, “I got lost an-and then Bugsie got hurt. I came here cause you heal Bugsie,” and she burst into a fresh bunch of tears telling the nice officer her story. “I w-w-want my Daddy,”

Chandel frowned in concern.”Your daddy? Where was he when he got hurt, honey?” She asked in concern.

Counselor Chandel

“He got stung,” Emma repeated, “In our quaters,” although with the way she said it it sounded more like ‘waters’. She sniffled again, wiping her hand on the sleeve of her dress.

“What’s your daddy’s name, Emma?” Chandel asked thinking that they’d better send Security to check on him.

Counselor Chandel

“Jonathan,” Emma said, “Do you know him? He gave me Bugsie when I was very very small,” she cradled the bunny to her chest, her tears having subsided for the time being.

Emma
Child

“What’s your last name, honey?” Chandel asked as she moved over to the computer and pulled up the ship’s roster so she could pinpoint the girl’s family quarters once she’d given them her last name.

Counselor Chandel

“Odey,” The child said, watching what the Counselor was doing on the computer though the letters and numbers meant nothing to her. But she liked Chandel, and she didn’t know anyone else so she stuck close.

“Computer locate the quarters of Jonathan Odey.” She ordered the computer as she keyed up the schematics of the base.

Counselor Chandel

“Jonathan Odey’s quarters are located on deck 6 in crew quaters section C,” The computer responded automatically.

“That’s where we live!” Emma exclaimed in wonder, all shock over her injury forgotten, “How does it know? Is it God?”

Chandel smiled, oh the innocence of youth, she thought.”No, dear it’s just really well programmed.” She then hit her combadge.=^=Counselor Chandel to Security. I need a wellness check on Jonathan Odey, Deck 6 Section C. I have his daughter here in sickbay and she says he has collapsed.=^=

Counselor Chandel

=^= acknowledged Counselor. Any other information pertinent?=^=

Harris

=^=I know nothing else. Please keep me up to date. Counselor Chandel out.=^=

At the mention of her father, Emma closed her eyes and hugged Bugsie tighter as if trying to enter her own little world where her daddy was okay.

Odraavi returned to the Sickbay, a few minutes later. Quietly, she surveyed the room, catching sight of Chandel (who she gave a quick nod to), but she was more focused on locating TeWhiti.

Dr. Odraavi
CMO

Odraavi would find the Ensign to her left attending to a Bolian Engineering NE with what appeared to be relativly painful looking plasma burns. NE Anderson was nearby bustling about, sorting patients to doctors and treating minor scraps and bruises when they appeared. Both Ensigns were deeply engrossed in their work to notice the CMO’s reappearance in Sickbay.

Ens. TeWhiti
Doctor

Pleased to see the Ensigns working with such efficiency, she knew far better than to distract them from their duties. Waving a hand, she grabbed a tricorder and a PaDD, surveying the Sickbay for signs of anyone in need of medical assistance.

While Teek had originally waved her CMO friend off and left her to return to sick bay, five minutes later she had been on her heels. Teek had closed the Mystique, sent her faithful coworkers back to their quarters and gone to Medical. She arrived to see the chaos and felt bad for showing up with a simple headache and upset stomach. The lights and maxed out sound that the club had suffered had ground into her deeper than she thought. As an Ensign came to ask what was wrong with her, she shook her head at the plasma burns and other people with broken bones from the gravity issues and bloody noses and such. “I… nothing… I’m sorry I bothered you.”

Odraavi had been assisting a young Swahili man, when a familiar voice sounded through the chaos of the world around her. Glancing up from where the dermal regenerator had begun piecing together the fragile skin torn apart by the force of a blade, Nisihe tried to hide the concerned smile that threatened to dress her features. She knew Teek’ma well enough to know she would brush off her own pain in favour of others, a trait she unfortunately shared with the Orion woman. Although, as a doctor.. and her friend, she had no intentions of letting that happen. “Nurse Ramirez, could you come finish this up?” She asked.

Seeing Odraavi across the room, her guilt got the best of her. “You know.. I’m here to lend a hand. I had a feeling you would be busy.” She helped in the next person who moved the door open behind her and nodded to the Ensign. “Where do you want me to put them for sorting?” She smiled but it didn’t reach her bloodshot eyes. If her friend wasn’t going to take a break, neither would she.

Teek’ma Downs
MYSTIQUE Manager

“Ensign, how about you tell the good lad over to osteo, that bruising on that leg of his would suggest a fracture or even a break. Be gentle, I don’t want him stressing on it; try to keep him off his left side.” She gestured to an area in the Sickbay equiped to treating bone fractures and breaks. Turning to Teek, she smiled and rested a hand on her shoulder. “You, my dear friend, can help me by having a seat.” She held up her tricorder, shaking it a little, as if to insinuate she wanted to check up on Teek’ma’s health.
