Mia was sitting at the desk in the office at the Blue Note, they had closed for the night and she was closing out the books for the last month. Mia opened the computer and entered the numbers for the month so that she could transfer the information to Nic back in San Francisco, she also transferred the profits from the Blue Note to the business account in San Francisco. They hadn’t spoken for several months and she didn’t send any other information about the kids, she figured that he didn’t care since he hadn’t asked.

Mia sent off the message and closed down the computer and began gathering a few things that she needed to work on in her quarters. Mia had already taken the kids back to their quarters and got them ready for bed. Mia looked at the last picture of she and Nic together with the kids and sighed as she shut off the lights in the office and locked up the Note and headed home.

Mia got the twins to bed and Mitzi into the bath, while she made some tea for herself. Once Mitzi was done with her bath, they read a little bit of book they were working through. Mitizi was getting better at her reading and Mia made sure to let her know that she was doing well. And then Mitizi was tucked into bed. Mia sat down on the sofa and finished her tea. She considered attempting to call Nic and decided against it. She didn’t know what to tell him.

Mia pulled out the photo album from under the coffee table and began flipping through its holo pages and reminicing about the times that they were taken. She came to she and Nic’s wedding photos and sighed. All the promises that had been made, most of them had been broken. She honestly didn’t know where she and Nic stood at this time. She knew he was in San Francisco, but she hadn’t heard from him in months. He hadn’t even called to check on the kids or her. It was like they didn’t exist. She had to wonder what she had done to ruin their relationship this time. Just as she had ruined it last time. She felt like everything was her fault. Would they still be together if they hadn’t gotten pregnant with the twins. What if she had just let Jess get her way and take Nic. Maybe he was happier with Jess…she shook her head to break that reverie and finally closed the book and headed to bed. She had an early morning.

Up at 0500 hours, she started breakfast for the family. MItizi was up at 0600 and getting ready for school. The twins got up about 6:30 a.m. or 7:00 a.m. They walked Mitizi to school and then headed to the BLue Note. The twins spent the morning with MIa in the office and playing on the floor. Both were now creeping and trying to walk. So they were keeping Mia and everyone else on their toes.
