Ashley smiled, moving her hand upwards she softly caressed her cheek as she maintained eye contact with Avalise. “I don’t ever believe in pressuring, I want this, and I am pretty sure you do too. If you want to walk, I won’t lie I will be disappointed, but I would much rather you to come willingly.” Ash said as she leaned in once more giving the most smallest of kisses, almost feeling like a tease before she pulled back but grabbed onto Avalise hand as she did.

The desire to flee was there, and Avalise recognized it immediately, despite the enticing offer being made.

“All this is, is two consenting adults who are very attracted to each other… who just want to share some passion, honestly right now I think that’s just what both of us want, wouldn’t you agree?” she said as she pulled Avalise hand closer, giving soft slow kisses from the base of her wrist upwards.

“I do,” she said softly as she enjoyed the exquisite sensations on her neck, even as her heart was tugging at her. “But I can’t. Not today. not now. I need you to let me walk away, even if I’ll regret it later.”

Looking at her Ashley looked at her closely, it wasn’t the answer she wanted but she could tell it wasn’t due to Avalise not wanting it. Tilting her head slightly she finally drew a deep breath and nodded. “If that’s what you want, by all means hon.” she said softly as she let go of her wrist but let her fingers interlock in hers as she looked up at her.

A brief moment of relief passed through Rendana’s eyes. The last thing she wanted was to hurt Ashley or ruin the possibility of something more later.

Keeping her hands entwined, Ash rose as she signaled she wanted Avalise to rise with her as she pulled her close into her arms. “I expect a wonderful story next time on why you couldn’t stay too.” she said as she leaned in, kissing her once more with such equal parts passion and tenderness. It would be easy to feel this was a goodnight kiss, not a come to bed kiss. Despite the evening coming to an end Ash needed to make Avalise feel welcome in her arms.

Avalise kissed her back and it was bittersweet. She was still warring between her head, an well, her hormones.

As the kiss ended, Ash pulled apart slowly as she let Avalise walk past to get to the door, following her close behind not wanting to be separate from her any longer than she had to be.

Turning back to Ashley at the door, Avalise let her gaze linger for a moment longer before leaving before she lost her nerve entirely. And she wasn’t sure that later she’d fully be able to explain why to Ashley, but she was grateful the other woman understood that it wasn’t her at all. Now, by that final look she had given Ashley, it was clear that it most definitely wasn’t her but Avalise where the issue lay.
