The dark haired woman wandered into medical the morning after her arrival. She was to see the Captain this afternoon. So making sure all the boxes were checked, was a must.

She glanced around the bay looking for the pips that would tell her who she was seeking.

Lily sat in her office with a dull expression on her face. It was more of pure boredom than anything else. A rhythmic tapping of her fingers on the console showed she was randomly going down the rabbit hole with some online program. On auto pilot, Lily reached to her left mindlessly reaching for her coffee. After several taps, Lily’s fingers curled around the lip of the mug.

Suddenly feeling like she was not alone, Lily looked up and smiled. “Hello,” she said to the woman entering sick bay. “How can I help you?”

Kady smiled. “Kadence Argona, your new Counselor. I believe I need to check in with you, Ma’am.” She nodded to what was keeping the woman’s attention. “I’m not in a rush if you want to finish what you were working on.” She gave a knowing smile that said she had been in a similar place before… lost in something else when others arrived.

“God no,” she motioned at the screen with a passive gesture. “Truth be told I was just getting paid to do nothing and catching up on Risan Hot House Andorian Igloo. I have to admit the show concept sounds lame as hell but it’s like quicksand and just drags you down. Do you know the show?”

Motioning to an open bed Lily cont Oier talking. “So the idea behind it sounds like a bad joke. Each house has a couple of Betazoids, Touch Telepathic species, Vulcan, Human, and Ferengi. They hid a 100,00 credit treasure somewhere in the living area. The human knows where the treasure is. It has to not let the telepaths read his mind or touch him to find out only Dax Golden is currently having a little something something with the touch telepath. Like I said guilty pleasure like that show Sehlat King,” Lily picked up a tricorder and began to scan the new CMS

Kady laughed as she sat up on the bed. “I admit it does sound addicting. But I am not a holo show watcher. I tend to spend my quiet time reading or drawing.” She settled on the bed and rested her palms on the top of her thighs while she was scanned. The usual childhood ailments and Academy style injuries from job training are in her medical file. Nothing overly concerning.

Kady watched her for a moment and smiled. “Have you ever considered programming the holodeck to play an episode with you in it in place of a character in the show? I had a pati… friend at another station who did that for one of his favorite shows. It was a cathartic ‘fix’ he indulged in occasionally and helped him escape sometimes. Perhaps even programming the deck with a new episode you haven’t seen. Then you could watch slash live it in real time.” She glanced at the woman wondering what her reaction would be.
