Done and done!
Cleared by medical and psych, or rather, not held up by them, the engineer headed where she had wanted to go since setting foot on the ship the night before.

Engineering.

Her hair back in a sloppy knot on the back of her head, face devoid of makeup, and her uniform neat enough to pass most inspections short of formal events, she stepped into Engineering and looked around. “Home, Dia… at least for the next couple years. Time to get started.” A smile she had been wearing when she arrived had brightened considerably and she looked around for the uniform of the Chief she was there to see. She ha purposely not asked anyone of him, and had avoided anyone the night before lest they ask about her destination. Meeting the boss for the first time was something she had turned into a hobby and art form. First impressions were best, on both sides. And going in with preconceived notions left both sides wanting to put on airs or posture in some way that seemed less than genuine.

So she glanced around and would ask if she didn’t see him in another moment.
