IC: “We should probably compare all reported power fluctuations since the retrieval of your shuttle, sir. Just to make sure nothing else has gone awry.”

Remy waited until he and Jason had entered the lift before replying. “I wan’ you an’ Cmdr. Erin working on dat. I trust de two of you. I’m not saying someone on board is responsible, but dere are too many unanswered questions. If dis was a direct attack on me an’ 31 is behind it, dey are very good at manipulatine people to do de dirty work.”

He shook his head in frustration. “I don’ even know if 31 ‘as anytine to do wit’ dis, bu’ I wan’ to rule dem out if possible.”

Boudreaux (CO)

Reilly stared at the indicator on the turboloft screen. “Understood, sir. I’ll get with Commander Erin immediately.” Reilly’s jaw was clenched tight, and while his face was clam and relaxed, his brain was obviously working on something.
“Could the threat be something… well… closer to home?” he asked quietly.

Reilly, XO

REmy turned and looked sideways at his XO. “Petrov?” he asked, running a hand through his shaggy dark hair. ” I would no’ like to believe so. ‘E is arrogant, bu’ one of de best damn engineers I ‘ave ever seen. ‘E came wit’ me from de Vanguard. If ‘e ‘ates me dat much, why would ‘e ‘ave accepted by invita-TION?”

“Because he cant embarrass or undermine you on a different ship?” Reilly offered with a half-grin. “And good engineer of not, I think I’d be remiss if I didnt say I wouldnt put it past him.”

The lift stopped at the bridge. Before exiting the CO continued. “I’d prefer to tink I was no’ de target, still. . . . check Ensign Darn (I can never remember his name), dat piloted de shuttle. See if maybe ‘e has any enemies in ‘is background.”

Remy shook his head, “If dat was de case, day would include 95% of de crew.’

Reilly nodded and said “Yes, sir. I’ll pull records and cross creference with FedSec.”
