She didn’t feel any effects immediately by picking up the coin but her intuition was telling her that the coin might release its effects the longer she held it, even with the napkin.

GM

“Strange.” He said, looking at the coin. “Well, I don’t think we have a tricorder, how about I put that wrapped up in my pocket and see if there is any other treasure about?” he suggested, looking back to her.

Alita wrapped the coin up and handed it to him.

“If you really want. Be careful, I’m starting to feel a little strange again. And as for tricorder, I already took a reading. Everything was normal.” she said motioning to the tricorder on her belt and wondering if Cel had been affected much more than she had by handling the coin.

OCC: How would this coin effect Squared, which no one knows about? Squared is a separate consciousnesses/lifeform inside Celador. I am wondering how it would effect both of them so I can judge reactions appropriately.

OOC: The coin acts like if you took a shot of rum, and continued shots of rum while you physically touch it – directly or indirectly. So… if Squared is affected when Celador intakes alcohol directly, then Squared would be affected. Otherwise, if Squared can take over Celador’s body without directly being affected by alcohol, then it would be basically another consciousness taking over Celador’s body, but then would be exposed to the effects of the coin after the body is taken over by Squared.

IC:

The coin’s odd metaphysical properties began acting on the person who held it.

OCC: ‘Squared’ Can take over Celador’s body. But they have an agreement where that won’t happen, except in extreme circumstances. Also, I never really gave it much thought as to what kind of drunk he would be.

IC: Cel felt it almost instantly after taking the coin from Alita. “We could have a lot of fun with this.” He said smiling as he put the coin, wrapped in the napkin in his pocket. He laughed. “We may have to take turns hold it.” He giggled a bit.

‘What is going on with you?’ Squared asked curiously. Squared couldn’t feel the effects without taking over the body and he wasn’t going to do that.

Any climbing with the coin would likely be dangerous unless the person holding it was dragged out. The only question was how. Lieutenant Andreas Mado, the Federation Security Attache assigned to ‘watchdog’ the USS Vanguard apparently had tracked the coin using his special tricorder. He noticed the climbing gear left behind, and wondered who he was going to encounter. He had a partner also on the USS Vanguard, but due to their discretionary roles, they were not currently together. They were in contact through an unknown means however.

Mado climbed down to find Cel and Alita. Upon reaching the bottom, he said, “Good afternoon! What a strange coincidence running into you both!”

Alita had been just about to ask Cel what he meant by fun when Mado appeared.

“Coincidence sure… Just doing a little recreational climbing. And you?”

Alita didn’t know Mado well enough to have her guard immediately up but she also didn’t really believe in coincidence either.

“Exploring the less known paths,” said Mado. He observed Cel, “Is… he alright?” asked Mado.
