“Can we hail Risa’s comm center?” Bryson asked when he returned to the Bridge. “That shuttle didn’t just lose power for no reason, and I’m going to get to the bottom of this…”

Ops

“Risian communication center, all which that is ours is yours, how may I assist you?”

GM

“Oh really now?” Bryson whispered to himself. “My Captain nearly drowned when his shuttle when down over one of your oceans, I’m sure you picked that up?” Commander Erin stated. “Did you guys spot anything out of the ordinary within the past hour or two?”

“We registered your shuttle missing, and notified your ship right away. Unfortunately, nothing unusual was picked up on our sensors. No ships near your shuttle, other than a loss of power and it fell out of range of our sensor network so we were unable to track the shuttle’s exact entry. We had sent patrols to the approximately crash locations. We would be happy to transfer all the logs, including from our search parties, to you, USS Wolverine.”

“Thanks..” Commander Erin replied. “I would keep a look out for anything out of the ordinary, we haven’t been able to find the cause of power loss.”

Ops

“Understood USS Wolverine. Transmitting the data over to you now.”

GM

Bryson ended the comm call and waited patiently for the data to be transmitted. The Ops Chief was hoping to find something to explain the power failure, but knew the probability was going to be extremely low.

Ops

The computer acknowledged the receipt of the data from Risa. It began an analysis per Bryson’s orders, looking for anything unusual. The data matched the shuttle’s logs, and there were no discrepancies. There was nothing to indicate a power failure from an external source.

GM

OOC: I am not sure if I updated or not anyone on the findings of engineering. However if I remember correctly there were none.

Petrov arrived back on the bridge. He had sent his update in and there had been nothing found. Which obviously cleared the pilot and the shuttle of anything to do with the crash. He assumed his position at the Engineering console and waited to see if someone needed something. He had no interest in speaking to the XO or anyone else at this time.

Petrov CE

OOC: The engineering report was the same as the others. No problems, and the only possible detection of a nano-transporter beam.

IC:

“A shuttle can’t just lose power like that…” Bryson thought aloud to himself. The Ops Chief pulled up the report regarding the shuttle and began looking it over carefully. “Hey Petrov, didn’t one of your guys find a toy on the shuttle?” Commander Erin asked.

Ops

It was at that moment, Petrov noticed that there was a power drop in a specific section of the ship.

GM

After the XO made his call, Petrov found that the power drop was moving through the ship, in the direction of the shuttle bay.

GM

Petrov did not answer OPs.

“We have a sudden power drop in the ship. Wait its moving to other areas. A possible cascade. I am running a quick diagnostic to isolate the point if began and progression.” He suddenly announced loud enough for the Bridge to hear him.

Petrov CE

The origin began in an ensign’s crew quarters, and was following the most direct path to the shuttlebay.
