Remy let out a hooler, “Wooooooo, what a ride!!” His eyes went from person to person on the bridge gauging the various shades of green. He was surre he also had a shade of his own, but let his words convey his sense of confidence. “Dat was fun, no?”

Alita suspected she wouldn’t be cooking with tofu for some time. Perhaps she would have liked being a cat as long as she was in her own body. Luckily she was still Human.

Mikel stifled down a vomit, almost fell to his knees but managed to hold onto a console. The feeling of being yard and everything else was not passing as fast as he wanted it too.

“Can we confirm its the Bepi 113 system, our time etc..?” He said to Wells rather weakly.

Petrov CE

OOC: Oops, forgot about the time difference… Going to correct the posts above.

IC:

“Unfortunately, Mr. Petrov, we still need to execute the slingshot maneuver to return to our own time. This why we are at Bepi 113, a classified star system that can be used to execute the slingshot maneuver perfectly. The calculations have been entered into the helmswoman’s console whenever you have confirmed all systems are green, Mr. Petrov,” said Wells, also a bit weakly, “Perhaps green wasn’t the best word choice.”

“We are good.” Was all Mikel could get out as he felt queasy again.

Petrov CE

Wells nodded to the helms woman who gave up her seat for the Commander. She sat down, and had the ship move towards the star. “Raising shields to maximum, engaging impulse engines.”

The ship went barreling towards the star of Bapi 113. As they came about the star, Wells announced, “Engaging warp engines, in 3, 2, 1…”

The ship traveled through time and when Wells deemed it appropriate, disengaged warp. “Computer, calculate stellar matter distance to the galactic core and confirm current Stardate.”

The computer confirmed the Stardate on the day they left, only a day after they had left. Wells got up, had the helms woman return to her seat. “I believe we can set a course for Earth now,” suggested Wells.

“Make it so, ‘elm.”

Remy turned to Wells. “I assume, Commander dat you will want to run some diagnostics on de experimental drive, but I believe it funtioned pretty much as it was supposed to. I will be ‘appy to report to Command de success ful use of de drive, but dere are still a few bugs to work out?”

Boudreaux (CO)

“Success?” Petrov mumbled audibly. It was intended to remind the Captain that things had not gone well and the relative value of the whole mission was questionable to him and probably to a few others.

Petrov CE

“Questionable at best, Captain,” replied Wells.

Alita glared at Remy. He had absolutely no idea what she had been through internally and psychologically. The mission was not a success in her opinion.

Commander Erin stretched and walked over to Alita. “Here’s the back up data to everything we received during the mission, keep it in good hands.” The XO had only intended on storing it in case something happened to the ship. Since they arrived in one piece, there really wasn’t a need for a back up.

Alita nodded at the Commander and tucked everything away neatly intending to do just as he had asked.

Now would be the time for her to suggest some feast or other on the holodeck but her heart just wasn’t in it.

Mikel had every intention of getting away for shore leave and requesting a transfer to a ship worthy of his skills. He had clearly shown he was the brightest crew member on the ship.

Petrov CE

=/\= EDDIE to Captain Boudreaux, Commander Erin, Commander Wells, Lt. Petrov! I am happy to report that the drive has been fused to the ship. Any attempt to remove the drive may result in permanent structural damage to the ship or possibly cause molecular instability to the drive resulting in a catastrophic explosion. All simulation results yield negative answers on removing the drive completely from the ship. =/\=

Wells uncharacteristically groaned at EDDIE’s response.

Alita knew she couldn’t voice her thoughts out loud. She was an officer and a lady. Nor could she walk off the bridge like she had half a mind to. It would definitely be time for a run on the holodeck soon.

Celador entered the bridge at that moment to relieve the aft security station. He heard what EDDIE’s response was. He portrayed no emotion as he took his station and got the relief brief, but he silently shared the groan from Wells.

“Fused to my engines?” Mikel blurted out. “That thing masquerading as a engine is fused to the engines? I told you we should not have done it. Well that is successful isn’t it.”

Mikel shot a glance at the Captain. Combined with his remark it was insubordinate but he could care less.
