Holodeck- Cool down

Peter couldn’t sleep again. His mind raced over the past few months and years. He wanted nothing more than to fix all that had gone wrong. He couldn’t he was frustrated, confined, the energy that infused inside of him was enough to make anyone explode. And he had done that many times in the past few months. So many times.

But not today. Today, he focused his mind the way he had trained himself over an entire lifetime. Now as the 3 Klingon warriors approached him with Bat’leths raised he was prepared. Katana in hand he ran towards the center warrior and feigned a strike but followed with an over extended kick. He wasn’t meant to do harm but only to throw the warrior off balance, it worked. He had quickly revealed his real target the warrior on his right.

Shifting he slashed the opponents right arm which was largely exposed as he had brought his weapon up for a strike of his own. He hadn’t counted on Wraith’s speed or decisive reaction. The Klingon warrior didn’t hesitate and tried to correct his position, pivoting and following Wraith’s motions as he circled him; trying to now place his prey between him and the other two warriors. “Quickly, no time for this.” it was a momentary thought and more than enough of a drive.

Wraith surprised the warrior by switching primary hands from the left to the right and swinging for the neck. The warrior didn’t have time to react to a move in such close proximity; as the warrior’s body crumpled Wraith aligned his attention onto his other two opponents. Pulling his dagger from its sheath which always rested on the small of his back, Wraith threw the blade at the farthest warriors throat.

His aim was adequate, the blade sliced its target but it didn’t bury itself in. The warrior clutched his throat, while the blade clattered to the floor. The center warrior uttered a curse against Wraith in Klingon and swung his Bat’leth at him in a strong and agile arc. Wraith’s own sword met the weapon with a glancing defense.

“I can’t meet a Bat’leth with raw force, it will break my blade.” He missed the body language and only dodged out of the way as the warrior stepped in and swung again with a wild swing. the tip cutting Wraith’s abdomen.

No safety protocol was on in the holodeck.

Wraith saw the moment and reacted the enemy was off balance and so changing his hold on his blade stepped in close as if to do a leg sweep and impaled the Klingon on his Katana, he did perform a sweep but only to bring his own body low and releasing his sword picked up the fallen dagger as he rolled by it and coming up next to the injured warrior finished the job that his throw started.

Wraith let the scene on the bloody rocks of Mount Kalel of his adopted homeworld stand so he could feel the breeze as he cleaned his weapons from his morning training session.

-Ensign Peter “Wraith” McGarvey (Security)

A bloody scream came from the side view of him. A mighty Klingon warrior charged against the young Ensign with his bat’leth ready to attack.

Before the ensign could react, a slim blade pierced through the front of the warrior’s chest. The blade slid back into the Klingon somewhat slowly before the warrior fell to the ground. Behind him was a federation officer in a grey and white uniform. It was standard issue for a Federation Security agent. The man’s hair and complexion wasn’t much different in color. The officer looked down at his weapon, a hardened rapier with some sort of electronic device beside the hand guard. As he did, the warrior shuffled about, still ready for combat. The officer noticed.

Without hesitation, he thrust the weapon into its back, not far from the original wound. “You see ensign, the problem with Klingons is they have too many organs.” The officer paused for a moment as he thought it about it. It was really more of a blessing when it came to interrogating, but he supposed he couldn’t discuss that…

Turning his weapon slightly as he released the warrior, he continued, “But even with eight heart chambers, you only need disable three or so to get things done.” Looking down at his hands, he noticed that some of the warrior’s blood had managed to stain his left glove. The officer let out a small sigh. The man must have snuck into the holodeck during Wraith’s prior scuffle.

“But where are my manners. My name is Andreas Mado. I’m sorry for the intrusion, but the lack of security controls on the holodeck… piqued my interest…”
