Ahearn let out a breath that he didn’t realize he had been holding and a half-smile crossed his face as he nodded in acknowledgement.

Continuing on, the Captain found Wells. “You are up next, Cmdr. Let me know of any assistance you require, an’ I will make sure you ‘ave it.”

“There is the unresolved matter of the Chief Engineer, Captain,” said Wells, looking up from her novel on the PADD, “I do not suppose we can figure out how to resolve our differences with you and the First Officer present?

Remy slowed his pace a bit. “Ah, yes, Mr. Petrov . . .after de meetine I would like you and de Lt. to stay after for a few moments to resolve de issue. I don’ suppose we could get lucky an’ adjust his personality to be more likeable when we implement de II Drive?”

As he headed for the corridor, Remy hit the comm. =^=Atten-SHON all personnel. You are free to return to you’ posts an’ resume you duties. Senior staff, report to my Ready Room in 15 minutes.=^=

He passed Alita and Cel before exiting the cargo pay. “Mr. Thienna, I wan’ you at dis meetine as well. It does concern you’ current state.”

Alita had taken a few moments to close her eyes and had to squeeze them tight to hold back the angry tears but, when she heard Remmy talking to Cel, she knew it was time to calm down and make it to that meeting.

As the crew began to shuffle out of the cargo bay, Mado followed suit. He had hoped to meet Commander Wells in order to gain a better understanding of the mission at hand, but it looked like Wells and the rest of the senior officers had other plans. It was of no consequence for the moment. There were other individuals of interest he could find.

Ahearn sent orders to the lab for random samples to be taken from all over the ship to verify that the contamination had been handled, and then made his way to the Ready Room.

“Petrov may just need to be kept busy, Captain.” Commander Erin stated once the trio were away from everyone else. “Maybe have him assist Ahearn with data recovery, and I’m sure there’s information he’d love to get his hands on too.”

“Dat’s no’ a bad idea, Bryson. He might trow a fit, ‘avine to be away from de engines, bu’. . . ‘Eleana, will you need ‘is assistance wit’ de II drive?”

“My initial preparations won’t require his presence, just rerouting power. Though, under his paranoid state, he might insist to be present to watch what I’m doing. If you prefer Captain, you could assign 2 security officers and two engineers of his choosing.”

After the Captain left, he looked at Alita. “You ok?” he asked her with concern. It was hard for him too, but he he knew that, at this moment, his alter ego was giving him some emotional strength.

OOC: I’m not 100% sure where the Captain and the XO were. So i’m either at the Ready Room door or the cargo bay door. Point me the right way.

OOC: Sorry Sid, I was on vacation last week and just got back last night. There are actually 2 cargo bay threads. This one here and the one with Cel and Alita conversing. Let’s end this thread and pick it up in the Ready Room as the captain called a senior staff meeting and wants Cel there as well. Ahearn has started the Ready Room thread, so we’ll pick it up there. –Terry
