Once Abby had made sure her belongings were properly stored she made her way to to sickbay for her pre-duty physical. She stood outside the door for several minutes before stepping close enough that the doors would open. Once inside her anxiety kicked in. She closed her eyes and took several deep breath. It took everything she had not to turn back around and make a hasty exit.
She continued to take slow deep breaths as she waited to be seen.

Lt. Rainsford, CNS

“You do realise that none of us bite, right?” A large Orion approached her, quirking a fiery red eyebrow. She could almost feel the anxiety pouring off of Rainsford. “We’re harmless, so long as you don’t hand us a scalpel.” She shrugged. “Doctor Greve Shaidi,” Greve offered a hand in greeting. “What can I do for you?”

Dr. Shaidi, CMO

Abigail took another deep breath “I know all to well what can happen my mother is a doctor.” She said as she approached the Orion. “I’m here for my boarding physical” the hardest part was making it through the door and that she had accomplished that.

Rainsford, CNS

“Ah! Well, welcome aboard the Wolverine,” she searched Rainford’s collar for an indication of her rank, “Lieutenant.”

“I’m sure it couldn’t have been too horrifying, if you chose to join the medical field as well.” She gestured to an open biobed. “Unless my assumption of your position is incorrect.”

“What’s your name, darling?” Greve was a bit of an oddity. Little of what she said made much sense, but that made her different. She enjoyed that.

Dr. Shaidi, CMO

“I choose healing the mind over healing the body” she said as she followed the doctor to the bio bed. After she took a seat on the bio bed she extended her hand to the doctor. ‘Lieutenant Abigail Rainsford the new counselor on board.”
