This was meeting that Soames wasn’t looking forward to. He was already three days late to this assignment. And it wasn’t the most easiest of assignments he would be assigned to. The USS Wolverine was the smallest ship by far he had served on. And he didn’t like the being in cramped conditions. His original assignment was the USS Relativity a Sovereign class vessel. Besides he had history with people on this ship.

His shuttle was a drone shuttle that delivered people to ships and returns to a star base. He beamed over the Wolverine and was shown where he was billeted dropping of his stuff he checked that he was all in order. The slow walk to the captains officer gave him time to reflect on past events that lead him to the wolverine “here goes nothing” he thought as he rang the CO’s door chime. while he waited he considered weather he was right to still be in a Starfleet uniform let alone be serving on the Wolverine. Praxis 4 would be for ever for etched into his deep and dark past.

The customary greeting was giving and he walked into the office “ Ensign Leigh Somes, Medical Department reporting for Duty”

Then it would start the questioning the blame and the chance for Somes life to change for ever.

Sitting behind the desk, was who the ensign would assume to be Captain Remy Boudreaux. Definitely not what one would expect of a Starfleet captain. His dark hair was long and tousled. He had a matching mustache and goatee. as well. The visage would seem to be more appropriate on a 17th century French musketeer. When he spoke, it only added further confirmation that the man should be flashing a blade in the court of some king named Louie.

If Ens. Somes was familiar with Earth dialects, he might recognize the speech as Cajun. A dialect still spoken in New Orleans to this day.

The captain stood and motione for the ensign to come forward. “Doctor Somes, I am Capt. Boudreaux. Welcome to de USS Wolverine.”
