Alita walked into sickbay with as much purpose as her 12 year old male frame could carry.

“I need to see who’s in charge now.” she said firmly.

“Okay..” An older Ensign seemed skeptical of him–her. Watching Alita through the corner of his eye, he turned away. “Shiadi! You got a visitor.”

“They’re going to have to wait a moment!” A sharp voice responded, belonging to an obviously busy woman.

“Well, you heard ‘er. Go have a seat, she’ll be her in a moment.” The Ensign shrugged, offering a slight smile. With a light wave, he retreated back to his work.

Several minutes passed before a large figure emerged from an adjacent room, pulling gloves from emerald hands. “Ah. Sorry about the wait.” She smiled, “How can I help you?” She asked, tossing them into a contamination bin.

At that moment Alita felt like the ship was being over run with Orions. Surely that didn’t matter and it was a strange observation she didn’t have time for.

“I need everyone in medical to help round up the crew and assemble int he cargo bay because we’re going to be conducting a baryon sweep of the ship” she stated simply.

“Why not have the Captain send out a comm for a mandatory meeting in the cargo bay? That would be easier than bustling nurses and doctors trying to give orders most officers are too stubborn to listen to.” Shaidi remarked, flatly.

Alita had never been very tall but being in Cel’s body at this particular moment made her feel even shorter. But she stood to her full puny height anyway.

“Because despite this body, and these circumstances, and the fact that that might be a good idea, that’s not what I was sent here to do. I am your COS and this is what we need to do.” she said as forcefully as the voice 12 year old boy would allow.
