Once finished with her meeting with the Commanding Officer, she discovered that she felt slightly more comfortable with her surroundings, than she had when scouring the halls for the proper room to enter. Now, the Doctor was a bit more familiar with the metallic confines of the long, winding halls which majority of Federation starships possessed. She walked with an easiness about her, the previous anxiety fading to the serene calm that she generally possessed.. generally. Rolling her shoulders, she offered a smile towards one of the passing officers, trying to acknowledge who she passed, despite being hellbent on finding the office of the Counselor. It took her several minutes to navigate towards the Counselor’s formal residence, which was an accomplishment to the young Orion woman. Upon arrival, her smile became a bit more genuine. Finally! She mused to herself, pleased to have eventually made her way to the office she had been searching for during the course of the last fifteen minutes, or so. With her smile fading back to neutrality, holding back any sense of uneasiness, she pressed her large, green hand to the chime. Bringing her heels up off of the floor, then placing them back down, the quirky Doctor rocked back and forth, her hands clasped behind her back. She was, without doubt, an idiosyncrasy.

CMOAyla couldn’t blame someone when they struggled to find her office. It was relatively tiny compared to what was on most ships these days, and could easily be mistaken for a storage room. Two small chairs formed a sitting area on one side and a few feet away was Ayla’s desk. There was a mirror ball sitting in a wrought iron stand beside the desk and in the corner, and on the wall between the two chair was a slightly abstract tapestry depicting a sunrise/sunset scene over water. There was, like the rest of the ship, no replicator there.
“Enter,” a melodic and lightly accented voice called out.
As if clockwork, she stepped into the room, allowing her eyes to study it, before resting, ultimately, upon the Counselor, herself. In such a manner, the spiffy doctor, seemed to have a (while more like a thin smirk) radiant smile.. but not in the way most people described it. Instead of radiating beauty, it seemed to possess a certain oddity, as if she were well aware of how the world was, but had no desire to be a part of the idiocy. Resilience, yet impurity and anxiety; a mixture of oxymoronic emotions.
Inside, Ayla was at her desk, reading a PADD and shifting her gaze between that and her computer terminal. But her hand lowered and her hazel eyes found her visitor. Ayla smiled. “Hello, I’m Ayla Sharise, how can I help you?” It was someone rather new, and so she defaulted to introduction mode. Her dark curls were pulled off her face in a loose braid which allowed her leaf-shaped forehead ridge to be quite visible.

“Hello, Counselor.” The Orion stepped towards her desk, dipping her head. Her voice was rather baritone, perhaps more so than could have been expected, and her structure a bit more masculine than seemed to match her long, wavy red hair and feminine gaze. “Lieutenant Geve Shaidi, the new Medical Head, reporting for a psychological evaluation.” She kept her words simple, her tone remaining steady, too steady. It was as if she were attempting to hide anxiety or perhaps something else, but but he former seemed most likely, by the slightly nervous appearance in her gaze.

“Ahhh, come on in and have a seat,” Sharise said, setting down the PADD.
Rising from her desk, she moved around and over to the chairs to join Shaidi. “I’d say make yourself comfortable, but it’s a very tiny office and I don’t have a lot of leeway with furniture. Half the time I think I should just do away with the chairs and we can sit on the floor,” she said with a chuckle.
“How are you finding Sickbay so far?” Ayla asked as she settled into her chair, adopting a relaxed position with one leg crossed over the other.
