After being cleared for duty, the XO was advised to take a day or two to physically recover from his ordeal. Commander Erin wasn’t too keen on leaving his post vacant for a day let alone two days, so he made his way to the Bridge. A few hours won’t hurt The First Officer thought to himself as he approached the turbolift.

“Bridge.” Bryson called out as he stepped into the lift. Since the Wolverine was a tiny ship, it didn’t take long for the doors to open and reveal the situation in front of him. The Commander took a quick look at the viewscreen and then the Captain before taking up position at Operations.

As Bryson exited the lift, Remy turned slightly, and a brief smile came across his face as it appeared his XO was back on his feet. “Welcome back, Mr. Erin.”

The CO turned back to the viewscreen and began explaining the limits of the Wolverine’s scanning equipment.

OOC: Need some help here. I am terrible with geomtery. Brazen class specs state the a high resolution scan has a range of 3.11 light years, while a low res scan has a range of 11 light years. So, my guess is we could scan approximately 1/2 sector per day (according to Memory Alpha’s sector size)). but we would have records of what sectors we travelled through to get to this point, correct?_

OOC: The sensors were upgraded and Wells added additional astrometric like sensors much like Voyager to the ship. You’d have records of the scans of the sectors you traveled at every stop the ship made and during transwarp travel. But not at slipstream travel.

“Your sensor technology is still greater than my current capabilities and I sense an unwillingness to trade technology, so whatever stellar cartography data for my data on this anomaly I have plus the water, and we have a deal Captain,” said Mr. Melnorm.

Remy considered Melnorme’s words. Technically, by sharing a “road map” of their recent travels through the Gamma Quadrant, he wasn’t breaking the Prime Directive. He was only providing information such as any traveler might with another. Plus, they were given pretty much free reign to do what they needed to get the Underspace info.

Remy turnedwith his back to the screen for all the good it might do. To Bryson he said, “Your toughts?” Hoping his XO had heard enough to offer an opinion.

There were so many thoughts running through the XO’s mind; would this traveler have gotten this information from someone else if the Wolverine wasn’t there, what would he use this information for, and what would happen to him once he reached the destination? Obviously, this wouldn’t cross the prime directive because he could have gotten it from someone else.

“I think we would be able to allow the trade, Captain.” Bryson stated at last. “Even if it were to cross the line, the info he’d give us would outweigh the consequences of any small change in the timeline.”

The CSO’s voice came through at that moment. =/\= CSO to Bridge. Captain, we need to decontaminate the ship as a whole. We have developed a plan of sorts for that. Engineering will set up field generators in the cargo bays. We can put all personnel there while we run a baryon sweep through the ship. While that happens, we can use the inoculation on the crew to either hep protect them or treat them as is necessary. Once the sweep is done, we can release the crew and then run the baryon sweep through the cargo bays. With your permission, Captain, we need to get his done as soon as we can. =/\=
