After completing all of his check-ins Mado returned to his quarters. Upon entering, he took a look around. It was a small space containing a living/dining area, a bed, a desk, and a replicator. Towards the far end of the suite was an attached bathroom. After a short walk through, the investigator decided it would suffice. He placed his Satchel on the desk and removed his FSA Jacket.

He found it odd that he had interacted with multiple members of the crew, and yet none of them had given him any real information concerning the ship’s current mission. Supposing that he would find out soon enough, he decided to simply settle in for the evening.

Reaching into his satchel, he pulled out his PaDD. The device wasn’t much different from standard issue models used in Starfleet, but given his identity, he did have access to a few perks. One of which was access to a few handy and replicatable security devices. Synching the device to his quarter’s replicator, he made up a pair of laser trip sensors. The devices were small and crude, but they gave the investigator an added sense of security when somewhere unfamiliar. Once replicated, Mado placed one on either side of the entryway door. While they wouldn’t sound any kind of alarm, he could check them from his PaDD to find out if anyone tried to enter his quarters without his knowledge.

With that squared away, Mado took his PaDD over to the small couch opposite the entry to his quarters and moved on to using one of the device’s other perks… access to the Federation Government’s Law Enforcement data sets. He pondered if he ought to run the Captain’s name for a full history. Letting out a chuckle, he decided not to - why spoil the mystery so soon. Instead he did the bare minimum of what was required. He began a report log.

.: Lieutenant Andreas MADO
.: Assigned and arrived aboard USS Wolverine at 0800.
.: Encounter with Captain Remy Boudreaux.
.: Bourdreaux has accepted my mission.
.: However, Bourdreaux made the following suspicious comments:
.: 1. “Prime Directive is not perfect.”
.: 2. Suggested that the Rule of Law is not always meant to be followed.

The agent was careful here. He chose not to include Remy’s exact line about bending the Prime Directive. He didn’t want to start some kind official investigation against the man, just provide enough information in his report to warrant his own “reasonable suspicions.”

.: Based on this statement, I have reason to check Mr. Boudreaux’s records for outstanding warrants, both Federation and Galactic.

With that, the agent saved his report and ran a query for active warrants. He doubted that the Captain would really have any open warrants with the Federation Government, but perhaps he was wanted elsewhere....

OOC: As a rule of thumb by the GM rule books, character history is usually in the control of the player who owns the character. So, not up to me. Though, if you want search about the mission or anything of that nature, the computer will be happy to reply.

The PaDD was somewhat unresponsive. Perhaps it was the time travel, or perhaps some things were better left unknown. Dropping it to his side, he called out to the computer. “Computer. What is this ship’s current mission”

“Authorization code required.”

“The USS Wolverine is assigned and to assess the Vaadwaur threat to the Federation. Mission records indicate that Admiral Janeway is concerned that patterns of attacks much like the Vaadwaur have been reported at the outer regions of Romulan territory in the Beta Quadrant. Admiral Janeway’s orders are to find as much information about the Vaadwaur and including a complete map of the Underspace. She has directed the USS Wolverine to obtain such information any means necessary, including time travel, due to the highly secretive nature the Vaadwaure kept about the Underspace.”

As he took in the response, Mado felt a little off balance. He made one more inquiry, “Computer. What year did this mission start and what year is it now.”

“2395. The current year is approximately 1480.”
