The trader looked unusual… He had a large singular eye and from a certain angle, you might mistake the alien as a large comfortable chair… Save for the eye in the middle of Mr. Melnorm’s face (which would be where one would lean their back upon).

Remy had to admit, he was expecting someone much more humanoid in appearance. Still, he kept the charm turned on.

“Judging from your appearance, you do not seem to be from this area. Frankly, neither am I. Sufficient to say, I’m passing through but I’m always interested in biological data, and stellar data as well. I do dabble in the local commodities but not very often. I do offer information, if that is what you seek or goods, if that is what you wish to purchase.”

Mr. Melnorm eyed Boudreaux suspiciously. “I should warn you Captain, my species has slight telepathic abilities… and I can tell that your last statement isn’t completely truthful. While I can detect large quantities of water on your ship, which is what I assume is what you are referring to, I can also visually see that something is strange about your ship. My species’ eye has the ability to look at different wavelengths of light. What I can tell is that your ship’s outer hull seems rather unusual to me. I don’t know why, but it does.”
