Snip“Okay,” Alice smiled brightly, “Well my favourite is Jenga, but if you are any good at 3 Dimensional Chess than I’d love to learn.”
NE Alice
“Jenga?” T’Pris asked curiously as she looked at the various colored boxes. Spotting the one that said Jenga she carefully slid it out. “This one?” She studied the picture on the cover and then looked up at Alice. “3 d chess takes quite a bit of time but I find myself curious about this one. How does one play?”
~Dr. T’Pris
“That’s the one, let me show you,”
Taking the box, she emptied the contents onto the table. “You start with a tower,” she explained as she began to assemble the pieces together, “Then each player takes a turn removing one block from the tower. The aim is to make sure the tower collapses on your turn. It seems so simple, no?” Tower finished she stood up and looked at T’Pris to hear her thoughts.

T’Pris observed the steadily rising wooden tower with focused attention. As Alice explained the rules, one of the Vulcan’s eyebrows rose ever so slightly—an unmistakable indication of genuine curiosity.
She studied the structure from several angles, mentally calculating the distribution of weight, the load borne by each layer, and the progressive instability that would result from the removal of individual blocks.
An intriguing variation of a rudimentary instructional exercise. Vulcan children are introduced to similar logic constructs at an early age to demonstrate principles of cause and effect, structural analysis, and the inevitability of a determined outcome based upon preceding decisions. The underlying concepts are… familiar.She mused to herself.
Her gaze returned to Alice. “It appears to be a highly logical game,” she said evenly. “Its premise is quite simple, yet each decision alters the probabilities governing all subsequent choices. The consequences of each action are cumulative.”
She inclined her head politely toward the assembled tower. “I can appreciate the elegance of such a design. I would be interested in experiencing it.”

Alice placed the last piece on the top “Brilliant,” she grinned, moving back to create space for T’Pris “since it’s you first game, you can go first Lieutenant,”
