T’Pris watched as Buchanan began issuing instructions to his department and gave a slight nod.

“Thank you, Lieutenant. Science appreciates Engineering’s assistance.”

She brought up the deployment schematics on the display between them.

“Engineering’s expertise will be invaluable in adapting our sensor buoys and probes for operations within the asteroid belt. Any recommendations regarding system modifications, interference reduction, or probe survivability would be beneficial as we finalize deployment plans.”

T’Pris folded her hands behind her back, her attention returning briefly to the telemetry scrolling across the nearby consoles.

OOC: Sorry, life has been kicking my butt.

Kaden then responded to T’Pris, “I will be sending this down to my engineering team. We will get on this and get the data back to you. How can I help you up here?” It will take a few hours to come up with a plan for this.” Kaden then typed into the computer console to send the data T’Pris was providing to engineering. He then tapped on his badge =/\=Lt Buchanan to Engineering. I am sending some data for any recommendations regarding system modifications, interference reduction, or probe survivability would be beneficial as we finalize deployment plans. T’Pris inclined her head slightly as Buchanan finished transmitting the data to Engineering.

“Understood, Lieutenant.”

Her gaze shifted briefly to the display as confirmation notices appeared, showing the schematics and sensor models arriving within Engineering’s systems.

“A thorough analysis is preferable to a rapid but incomplete solution. The asteroid belt presents several variables that must be accounted for if we are to maintain reliable sensor coverage.”

She adjusted one of the tactical overlays, highlighting several dense concentrations of metallic asteroids.

“My primary concerns remain sensor attenuation, gravimetric drift, and probe longevity. If Engineering can identify methods to harden the sensor packages against electromagnetic interference and improve station-keeping capabilities, the effectiveness of the network will increase substantially.”

The Vulcan paused for a moment before turning her attention back to Buchanan.

“For now, your presence here may prove useful. Science is refining deployment patterns and attempting to identify the optimal locations for buoy placement. An engineering perspective on navigational hazards and long-term equipment performance could assist in reducing potential failure points before deployment begins.”

T’Pris stepped toward the central display, bringing up a rotating three-dimensional model of the asteroid field.

“Perhaps you could review these projected deployment corridors and advise whether any adjustments should be made before we commit resources.”

She folded her hands behind her back once more, waiting patiently for his assessment.
