After Kaden dropped is stuff off in his quarters, he decided he needed to go check in with the CO but he was not sure if the captain was on board or not. He had been through this new ship thing a number of times and knew a Medical check-in was needed. He knew someone would be in sickbay so he just assumed he would start there. He took a few minutes to walk and ride in the turbo-lift in order to get to sickbay. This was a ship he had never been on before so he looked around as he walked into sickbay to look at all the tech around. It was somewhat newer than some of the stuff he had seen on his previous ship. He found an empty bio-bed and took a seat. He waited for someone to show up.

A Catian in medical blue walked up. “Hello, Lt. I’m Dr. S’Rrrrus. What can I do for you today?”

NL S’Rus, Medical Officer

“Hi Dr S’Rrrrus. I am here for my medical check-in. I am new to the Wolverine and have been requested to get my medical exam.” Kaden responded. He knew this was needed as he had checked in and needed this out of the way so he could start getting busy down in Engineering.

“Welcome aboarrrrd. Rrrright this way.” S’Rus led him over to a biobed and motioned for him to sit down. “Anything you wish to discuss?” He opened his tricorder and pulled out the handscanner.

Saru asked Dr S’Rus if there was anything he could do to help

S’Rus looked up, “Ah, Dr. Sarrrru. Good. This is Lt Buchanan. He needs his onboarrrrding physical. Would you complete it for him?

Saru replies back “Indeed Dr. Sarrrru.” And then Saru turned to Lt Buchanan “do you have any pertinent medical issues that I should be made aware of.”

Kaden was slightly confused with the different voice from who he was speaking with the first time. He had to look up to verify it was someone different which it was. He then responded, “Other than getting older, nothing has been bothering me. I am just here to get my physical so I can get started on the ship” He was ready to get this out of the way but knew it was important. He was excited to get started on this newer ship.

Saru noticed the confused look on the Lt face and replied “pardon me Lt I am Lt Saru, I will be taking over your exam. As you, I am getting use to a new ship as well. ” Saru looked over the sensor readings, and then looked back at Lt Buchanan. “Sensors shows you are correct, you are getting older than previous reports.” Saru turned to prep a hyper spray “let me prepare a hyper spray to bring your vaccination up to date and then you will be cleared for duty Lt.”

Kaden knew the hypospray was probably going to be administered because it had been a while. He was just waiting for Saru to come back for the hypospray so he could get this completed.

Saru told Lt. Buchanan “this will be quick” Saru press the hyperdurmic to Lt Buchanan’s neck and administered it. Saru then commented “that concludes your medical, you may report to your duty station”

Kaden looked up at Dr Saru and said, “Thank you. That was quick and painless. Have a good rest of your day.” Kaden then proceeded to stand up and leave the Medical Bay. He knew his next needed item was to report for his psychological check-in. He thought he would head to the CNS’s office to do that.
