Meanwhile on the bridge, the ship was left without an XO and all of the Senior staff. The helmsman was doing his best, as were the rest of the Bridge crew. Without a leader though, they were struggling to get organised. The Officer at the tatcical station had it together enough to press his combadge and sound red alter =^=G’orag to Tonav, please come to the Bridge. You’re in charge until the away team is back. =^= He stated with a hint of urgency to his voice.

G’orag nodded and raised the shields. They then dutifully waited for Tonav to arrive on the Bridge.

tonav arrived on the bridge promptly ” scan the area for any romulan ships and reduce our warp signature” “we need to hit them with a torpedo to cause a distraction so we can work on beaming up the crew”

“Aye, scanning now.” G’orag scanned the area.
“I’m picking up, two. No three Romulan warbirds. Their shields are up and they are hailing us.”

“Aye.” The Romulan warbirds came into view.
“They are still hailing us and moving into an attack formation.”

Mwezi stepped onto the bridge, tilting his head in curiosity at the Romulans.

“They are still waiting for a response. Shall we continue to ignore them? We have a torpedo ready to use, it might be wise to launch now before they open fire on us.” G’Orag said.

“alright fire” tonav said ” we want to try and create an opening to scan for the missing crew”

“Pardon my interruption, but is it not standard procedure to reply to incoming hails?” Mwezi said.

Go’orag opened a channel and a gristled old Romulan Captain answered and filled the view screen.

” return our crew first then we shall leave” tonav said “you may find i have disabled some of your ships systems”

The Romulan frowned and then looked confused as he asked his crew to check. Several seconds went by.
=^= Our systems are showing as fully functional, you are outnumbered. Leave now or be destroyed. This is your final warning.=^=

Tonav could see the confused look on their faces suddenly he flipped a switch and a bright flash of light appeared betwwen the romulan ship and the wolverine.

The emp torpedo launched and exploded in the middle of the Romulan ships, they were now floating, dead in space.

” i ask that you allow us to send a boarding party to free our crew and then we shall help you to repair your ship”

Mwezi stayed out of the conversation, watching with a slightly raised eyebrow. Interesting tactics. He was genuinely surprised that the EMP had worked on the Romulan vessel.
