Dradvia rushed around Sisnil’s biobed. She grabbed a cloth and pressed firmly under his nose. With the other she flipped open her tricorder. “This is getting worse, you have to stop.”

The tri-corder read the same as it did before no change infact the reading seemed better than last time. He reached up and took the rag. “Ice pack, and you know I can’t, I won’t” he said his tone firm. His head was splitting the light in the room was hurting his eyes.

Sisnil caught on right away at that point. “You can’t help me if you hurt yourself trying to keep this barrier. Let it go, Tealor,” he said, in what was as close to his captain-y voice as he could manage right then.

“No” was all he said, he knew it was not the barrier that was causing it, it was something else, in fact as he got close and didn’t have to use as much power it got worse. It wasn’t strain it was something else, but what it was he was not sure.

Dradvia got an ice pack and gave it to Tessan. “Sisnil, didn’t you tell me that some non-telepaths protect their thoughts? Could you do that for… an hour? So Dr. Tessan could get some rest?” She needed Tesssan to not hurt himself. From her sessions she knew that Tessan was on par in telepathic strength with Sisnil. Though Sisnil had some training and skill Tessan did not have. She wished she could snap her fingers and heal Sisnil’s brain. Maybe he could help Tessan. He shouldn’t be getting constant nose bleeds.

Tealor took the ice and placed it on his nose and kept his head tilted back. im not a child, I know what im doing, they need to stop babying me the unusual thoughts flowed around in his mind as anger began to swell inside him

“They can,” Sisnil said, “But I can’t. It’s too much effort.” He turned his head toward Tessan, based on sound. “Please, rest. It may not be the main cause, but letting it go would help.”

Tealors hand came down hard on the counter, in an uncharacteristic grit of his teeth, he held back the yell. “This is not up for debate!” he growled .”Let it go”. He shifted the ice pack on his nose a little trying to find a good spot that helped. He had sent a note back home asking about it but, so far no one had responded back with anything that panned out.

“Yes, Sir.” Sisnil didn’t have to see her or feel her to know her posture had suddenly become small and submissive. To Tessan she looked normal and disappeared from his notice. She hurried around Sisnil bed. She looked at his readings and began preparing a hypo cocktail. “Vitamin infusion and a lymphocytes booster. It will help your body handle the strain of accelerating healing.” She pressed the hypo to his arm and then turned her gaze back to the viewer to start another neuro regeneration session.

Tealor sunk back into the chair, what was that he thought thats not like me he looked through his thoughts trying to figure out what’s going on, “I’m sorry, I don’t know ,,, Ahh” he said tumbling to the floor blood now pouring out of his nose. He tried hard to stay awake.

“Dradvia, some help please” he said softly staggering back to his knees, the blood had slowed again, the front of his uniform now covered in it. The barrier was still up, he pressed into it more, which seemed to take the edge off.
