“I’m so sorry,” Dradvia said as she walked in with the kitten in her arms. “I had some difficulty with the harness, and Simon got impatient with me.” Dradvia made sure to speak up just a little so Sisnil would hear her as she came in. As she got closer Simon let out the most pitiful ‘I’m a baby and need my daddy’ cry anyone had ever heard. Dradvia very carefully put the squirming kitten down on Sisnil’s chest. She made sure to put the leash in Sisnil’s hand before she let go.Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer
Sisnil reached for him as soon as he heard his cry. It was as distinctive to him as an infant’s cry to its mother. It wouldn’t matter if she handed him the leash or not, though he did grip it tightly, because Simon immediately lay down in a curled up, purring heap on Sisnil’s chest.

Tealor removed his hand from his shoulder, in his mind ‘Your a betazoid my friend we are resilient’ he thought. ‘Your going to be ok’ he said and stepped over to check on his progress before leaving to take a break.
Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S WolverineDradvia took the vacated chair as Tessan stood. “Thank you,” she said quietly to him. She was sure having Simon would help Sisnil’s morale. Tessan looked tired, and she hoped he would rest.
She turned back to Sisnil and set a hand on his leg so as not to hamper his movement. With the other she gently oet that cat. “He’s really missed you. I… I hope it’s okay, I let him sleep with me a couple of times.”

Sisnil smiled. “I love that you did that. I hate how lonely he must be.” He said, petting the kitten. His pets were slightly sloppy, either hitting the cat in the face gently, or the side, but Simon didn’t care in the slightest. He just kept purring and trying to lick Sisnil’s hands.

It had only been twice that she had left to sleep, and only because she’d been ordered to do so. Dradvia would have slept in the chair given the option. She had left regularly to check on Simon though. Knowing Sisnil would prefer her to go into his room rather than anyone else, eased her guilt over leaving him. “I’ve checked on my a lot. I was worried he might get sick, but he’s eating and drinking. I’ve made sure.” She didn’t say anything else. Letting Sisnil enjoy having Simon around and to let the kitten become reassured that Sisnil was okay. He seemed to realize Sisnil was sick because he was very calm and very gentle.

They could tell that Simon really helped, because Sisnil’s bio readings looked a little better. He would normally play a little too, but he couldn’t see, so he just pet Simon and talked cutely to him instead.

“I brought some treats if you want to give him some,” Dradvia said. She had thought about a toy, but even without his blindness, Dradvia didn’t think he was strong enough yet. Besides, Simon didn’t look like he was going to get off Sisnil for awhile.

Sisnil nodded and held out his hand. Then he fed the kitten some treats by opening his hand and letting Simon take them. When he was out, Simon mewed loudly and cutely.

Dradvia laughed and handed Sisnil a few more. “I think he’s earned a few extras.” Dradvia continued to research and look for answers and possibilities. She read over the other Medical cases, poured through the Betazoid Medical library. Anything and everything she could think of.

Sisnil fed them to him. When it was time, he didn’t want to let the cat go, trying to pull him into his arms, but the poison was still making him weak and moving hurt.

Tealor walked back in, he looked more alert but he yawned just the same. He looked at the cat and wondered if Zoi knew the irony had him having a cat. “How is he doing?” Tealor asked as he walked over to the bed.
Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S WolverineSisnil looked happier and probably better, than Tessan had seen him since the poison. “I’m fine.” He said. “This is Simon… Please don’t make him leave.” Almost as if to add to that statement, Simon gave Tessan a cute look and mewed at him.
~ Zoi
Tealor smiled at the cat, “I don’t see why he can’t stay, you are the only one in her at the moment” he said in response. Having something familiar would be help full given his current contidion.
Dradvia smiled softly. The way Sisnil was with Simon was endearing. At least she thought so. “Simon is being very well behaved. I thought he would be trying to race around sickbay by now.” Dradvia turned the screen, “Mr. Zoi is doing very well Dr. Tessan. The Echatllin has dropped to 20 percent. There are three doses left of the normal treatment, and we’ll be able to administer a much higher dosage this time.”
Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer
“Excellent,” he said putting his han on Zoi’s shoulder. “Hows the pain?” he asked
Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine“It’s okay. It’s better,” Sisnil said. His readouts indicated it was better, but would still be very uncomfortable, like a 6/10 on the pain scale.
~ Zoi
It was better and that was a relief. “You are actually coming due for another dose of pain meds. I’ll get that for you. We can actually give you a slightly higher dose of that as well.” Dradvia wasn’t ready to release the force field though. Not until the Echallin was totally out of his system.
Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer
“Ensign, ” he stopped her. “When you get back I’ll grab another does of the antidote.” he noted as he looked through some of the diagnostics around his pathways.
Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S WolverineSisnil continued to pet Simon, his hands resting on the kitten’s body, using small movements with his fingers to give pet. Unlike usual, he wasn’t hyper focused on what Tessan or Dee were doing, or anything else. Just Simon.
~ Zoi
Dradvia nodded, “Yes, Sir. I’ll be right back.” Dradvia stood up and stretched, twisting left and right and raising her arms over her head. She’d been sitting on that chair almost non-stop. She made her way to the pharmaceutical locker and opened. She withdrew the pain medication and the antidote for Dr. Tessan. She signed out the medication, and relocked the cabinet before returning.
She dialed in the dosage and prayed Sisnil’s arm. “I’m going to put this in your arm and give your neck a rest.” She pressed the hypo with the pain medication to his upper arm, just below his shoulder and dispensed it. She still felt they should continue the antidote the way they had been giving it however. She handed the vials of the antidote to Dr. Tessan.
Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer
“Dee,” Sisnil said, as it had just occured to him. “Have you been sleeping?” He squeezed her hand, “You should rest.”
