The moment her hand touched his, they connected for the first time Sisnil felt how powerful his mind really was he was at least on a level playing field. The darkness spun around them making their stomach and then they were on top of the falls were they once climbed together. “This is my mind, it was the only place that was not to common for us that we had shared time together. ” he said his intentions pure. “If you feel lost or scared then think of this spot and we’ll come back here” he said his voice was like water it had an echo to it and it reverberated around them.

She could feel how sorry he was, remorse for having to put her through this, a desire to find who was responsible to keep Sisnil safe, a deep concern for them both and their mental heath. A feeling of lose of a loved one. His emotions were intense and it was hard to separate his from hers.

Zoi could hear every word that he spoken, as Dradvia was now mouthing the words as well. He could tell that their minds had joined fully and that Tessan could go anywhere he wanted in her mind, but he was not and that was that his intention.

“Think now, back to when you were in your room, the pounding at the door, the shouting” he said waiting for the scenery to change.

They appeared in her quarters right inside the door. The sound of the manual lock engaging was loud in the room. It was dark in the room. The only light was a small strip from under the door behind them, and the glow of her terminal on standby. The windows were open, but just dots of stars far away as the ship stood still added no detail to the room. Everything was just darker shadows among the rest. The furniture. The room was barren really. A desk, a bed, the small coffee table, and love seat. There was a heap on the bed, that was most likely the blanket she was talking about.

She moved forward blindly in the direction of the bed and hit her hip on the edge of the desk. Her fingers trailed over the cool smooth surface as they edged around it. They shivered in the room, cold, scared, breathing at a full panic, heart racing. They wanted the blanket and its comfort. Letting go of the desk they took a single step.

The sudden pounding seemed to shake the whole room. “DRADVIA!!!!” Terror welled up in her throat and it was swallowed down even as they fell to the floor.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor felt the terror as if it were his own, he struggled a moment or two before he composed himself. He reached out and washed them both in peace and calm. Zoi felt it and then the desire to keep moving forward. They were close now.
“Ensign, You are fine I’m her with you this is just a memory. “… “Just a memory” … “Memory” his voice continued to echo.

“Two breaths Ensign, let the scene move forward one breath at a time”… “One breath at a time” … “at a time” … “time” his voice cut through like a knife it was not gentle, she could tell though it was not meant to hurt her but to focus her. She could feel Tealor and his desire to keep her safe, to get to the bottom of the memory.

She took a breath. Their head hurt, they had bumped it on the side of the bed and landed on their hands. Their wrists were sore. The pounding came again. Then…

They were across the room, curled in a corner behind a chair. There was a soft knock on the door. Different than before. The knock came again and they stared at the door frozen in place. “Dee?”

“Dee? Please answer the door. I won’t come in. Are you okay?” It was Sisnil. It would be okay. Fingers shaking they reached slowly for control on the wall…fumbling to hit the control for the door. The door opened and he stood there. A labored ‘help’ squeaked out in fear.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

He was not sure how they got there. It was so broken and chaotic. “Lets go back”… “go back” “back” Zoi sensed Tealor taking control but the intent was good. They shot back to just before the knock, they looked around for a clock. the subconscious often saw things they did not realize they had seen. They felt more confident now, less afraid though it was still there it was subdued.

The clock on the terminal read 1320 hours.

Again their fingers slipped off the desk, the knock came and they fell. The second knock, but now they were not in the Wolverine. They were in a cargo room, behind large stacked crates in the dark. “DRADVIA. COME OUT!” Master was angry, she was hiding from him.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

They licked their lips, pulling their knees tight into their chest. Why did we say that we should have just been good. Maybe if they can’t find us. Their heart was pounding our of their chest. Their, her, their body vibrated with fear of what was about to happen. Maybe if they were quiet Master would chose someone else. “NO” ,, “NO” this was not right.. Tealor shook his head this is not the wolverine.

Zoi could sense fear in Tealor then confusion and then certainty again. There was only intendent gain to get to the bottom of what was going on.

Tealor shift the memory back to 1319 just a minute before the nock.. “That was a long time ago,” he voice echoed. He let time start again and roll forward to 1320 and started again he suspected that who ever had altered the memory and used an old one that was similar to reenforce the trauma educed memory loss illusion. He needed to be sure however and let time start.

Beside Sisnil, Dradvia’s body shook with fear, her body curled tighter. Trying to wrap her arms around her knees, she tugged her hands against Tessan’s, but he had a firm grip on hers. Then she calmed as Tessan took them backwards again.

The door locked, they bumped their hip on the desk. They were cold from the fear and panic. They wanted their blanket. It was soft and heavy, like a hug. Overwhelming loneliness filled them. No one hugged them, they couldn’t let anyone hug them. Their fingers slipped off the desk.

BANG BANG BANGDRADVIA!” The space around them began to shimmer, the shapes in the dark changing shape as they fell. No longer furniture but morphing into storage crates.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Out side loneliness slipped through Tealors mind, it was very close to home for him, it had been many years since he had any real contact.

They are going to find us, we have to hide!! No this was wrong he was ready for this, it’s what he was expecting. “Stop” his words cut through the fassad. He took them back to the finger slip. Paused there. Then they pulled back to the top of the falls.

Zoi could feal Teasan, he was begining to fatique what ever was going on in there was taking an immense amount of psychic energy.

In his mind he formed a shell on the outer sides of the memory, an image came up like a tv screen. Dradvia had her hands on the edge of a desk her fingers slipped and then it shimmered and faded into a warehouse and she was younger girl early teens and hiding. He looked at Dradivia, “this is where they replaced your memory,” he played it back again. “See the shimmer?” he asked pushing out a sense of calm that initially was hard from him to find.

She didn’t feel the calm. The panic pushed back at him not letting the calm take over. It made it harder for him to remain calm. Watching the shimmer seemed to make her panic worse. “It’s just a flashback,” the words were a bit mechanical.

While she responded he searched around the memory for the signature of who put it there. He would not likely recognize them but he could confirm that it was not Zoi or Him that had done it. The Neural recorder he had put on in the other room would see to that.

Turning his attention to the search and his fatigue let the embedded flashback continue to play. Her panic returned to a more accurate level as the shimmer disappeared from view. Dradvia watched as she hid in the cargobay. She was so cold in those horrid rags they made them wear. They were shouting for her. Threatening worse and worse punishments the longer she refused to come out of hiding.

Tealor shuttered the memory of the cold filling his body, his heart began to race as the scene unfolded.
The crate in front of her went flying, and Master stood sneering down at her. (Beside Sisnil, Dradvia whimpered). His face was ugly with it’s joy at finding her. His massive hand wrapped in her hair and yanked her up.

He could feel the yank on the hair in his core, the pain and fear that it generated, the thoughts of what was coming, he started looking around trying to ground himself. A small whimper leaving his own lips. Zoi could sense the hopelessness.

Like a VHS that’s been taped over too many times, an image seeped through. Another face, one she didn’t recognize at all, and it was too brief to really see, but the sudden appearance made her scream. The terror threw them both out of her mind. Dradvia jerked her hands away and tried to crawl backwards in the chair, causing it to topple backwards, but she kept going, until she was hidden in the corner, screaming

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor mirrored her actions completely his own chair toppled, he did not make to the connor fully before he was able to collect and reground himself, as he dead he heaved over the shock of being forced out of the connection, the feelings and the pain, the memories all of it came flooding out as he heaved all over the floor. he could not think yet, “Go to her but stay out!” he shouted between heaves.

Sisnil rushed to Dee’s side and hugged her tight. He did not use his abilities, he just hugged her. “It’s okay, Dee. It wasn’t real. Just a memory.”

~ Zoi

The moment he touched her, cold fear paralyzed her, silenced her screams and locked her muscles. They found her, they found her, they found her, they found her…

But the voice that spoke didn’t sound angry. It didn’t sound cruel or manipulative. It didn’t sound like Master.

Master would kill her! No one could touch her but him. He would kill her for it. No! He had to get away from her.

The protest came out as nothing more than a terrified whimper. But slowly the voice and the words seeped through the terror.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Sisnil just kept holding her and saying the same things. He’d seen her like this. She had to ride it out. He looked at Tessan, “This is why I didn’t want to do this to her.”

~ Zoi

Tealor continued to wrench a little. “Her memory has been tampered with” he squawked out, “Just keep talking with her she is still in the memory” he said finally working his way to his knee’s.

“Ensign Dradvia” he called out, “You are on the Wolverine, in my office” he said starting to breath slowly to get his bearing back, he may have to go back in to get her if she was stuck, but he to recenter. The things he felt were not meant for anyone to feel. “Keep telling here where she is, calmly” he said

Slowly, Sisnil’s voice registered, who he was, what he was saying. But she couldn’t face them or what she had seen in her memory. Her mind was shutting down, it couldn’t handle anything else.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor could feel the withdraw and sighed, he was not sure they would be able to even move her. Standing to his feet he moved to a cabinet in the back and grabbed a blanket , it was soft and a little heavy. He found the extra weight helped. They were soft and kept a little warm. He slowly walked over to where they were and sat the blanket next to Zoi. He then moved back to his desk and sat down. He closed his eyes for a moment, the thoughts and feelings still swirling around in his mind, he could not, make out the image and he was yanked out to fast, one thing he did know, it was not Zoi.

They would have to do this again, the thought of having to put her through this another time made his stomach sink. I’m so sorry

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

As Tessan thought about everything, he would realize that her reaction was very exaugurated. He had worked with Dradvia through a few flashbacks. Ones much much worse than what they were doing today. She had fallen into flashbacks, but she had never shut down. And the way she’d given the thought that it was ‘Just a flashback’ had been very mechanical, like a computerized recording.

Sisnil took the blanket and covered Dee in it. He just sat quietly with her, saying nothing, not using his telepathy or empathy, just waiting.

~ Zoi

The weight of the blanket felt good, the material soft and soothing. The warmth slowly eased the shivering. It was a long time, however, (or maybe it just felt like it) before anything changed. It wasn’t much, but her fingers flexed, tugging the blanket closer and she began to rock ever so slightly. Her emotions pulsed out of her with hopelessness and a sense of being lost. Like a call for help, but she didn’t know how.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

‘This is a planted response I think, I have seen much worse from her past and she barley filched. ’ he thought. ‘We’ll give her another 15min and i’ll see if I can’t pull her out if she is still in.’

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

“I know it is, because I’ve planted them before,” Sisnil said. “If the telepath that did this is any good at their job, it won’t be easy to deal with.”

~ Zoi

15 minuted went by and Dradvia hadn’t moved. Tessan (and Sisnil if he was listening anyway) could hear her mind and knew she wasn’t stuck in the memory. She knew where she was and who was with her, but she couldn’t face them. She was in a sort of psychic shock. She couldn’t deal with it, so she wasn’t, she was just numb and blank. Deep in her own subconscious she knew her reaction wasn’t herself, but she couldn’t look at that either.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

He looked at her and spoke quietly from his desk. “Ensign” he said he was concerned that someone was on the ship or had been and would try to reinforce their work, he erected a sort of Physic warning net, it was not intrusive but it would tell him if anyone went near her mind. “You are free to leave if you want, you are also welcome to the couch, and mr Zoi and I can leave. Or stay what ever you want ” he said looking over the port.
