He looked at her, his eyes soft, the back pools reflecking the light in the room back at her. He had wanted her to sit with her feelings for longer than she had, but it was a start. “If that is what you wish, I’m here if you need anything.” He said standing, “Please continue with your exercises and I’ll see you next week”

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

She nodded as she unfolded and stood. “Thank you.” It was only a breath of sound before she was gone. She didn’t go back to her room. She didn’t seek out her friend. She went to the holodeck and ran a garden program. She entered and made her way across the monastery grounds to a small copse of trees. There was a cat in this program that she was very fond of. She knew it was holographic, but she liked it anyway.

She sat there, in the serenity, the cat curled on her lap, and sat with her feelings. It was safer to do it alone.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

The following week came. It had been tumultuous. Dradvia was conflicted and confused about so much. But she knew she would never talk to Tessan about it. It was just too awkward and private. Then ther we was that horrible incident with Stevens. Even after a few days, no one had said anything, so she hoped no one knew and gossiped. She could hope.

Right on time she waited outside Tessan’s office door. Incase anyone was in there she didn’t want to ring the chime and disturb them.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

“Evening Ensign” he said as he replicated cool water and his tea. “Please have a seat”. He was now using his empathic abilities full time, he had found them very beneficial to help him gauge his patients better. He was still not pushing though unless there was something that could be gained for the patient by doing so.

Dradvia moved over to the chair and sat. She eyed the water, and carefully picked up when it was set near her. She took a decent sized drink.

After she settled in he spoke, “So how was your week” Tealor knew before she had come into the room that there had been an situation with Stevens, But rumors were everything from she was overreacting to stevens had assaulted her in various ways. Given that there was at least a friendship forming between her and Zoi, he imagined the man would be in his infirmary had it been too bad. Tealors face was neutral as it always was, his black eyes looking back at her.

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

“It was okay.” She shrugged which was Dradvia speak for feeling awkward and hoping no one asked any more questions.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

He looked at her. “You obviously have had a bit of a week, you know I can feel that, ” he stated. “And I’m not going to force you to talk to me about what’s going on in your life” he said. “But I feel like that is why we are here so I can help you process things.” he noted.

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

She really did not want to talk about anything that happened this week. Not with Stevens and nit with Sisnil. One scared her and one was far too personal. She shrugged because she didn’t know what to say. She wouldn’t lie, but of she said anything before she knew what he knew, she could say too much. “There isn’t much to process.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

He looked at her for a moment, “Ok, well if that changes then please let me know” he said. “Shall we continue with the regression then?” he asked

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

That long stare made her squirm. It was obvious he didn’t quite believe her explanation. Did he already know? Was she going to get in trouble for not saying something? “It was just a little misunderstanding with Lt Stevens,” she blurted out in a rush. Maybe Stevens had said something? Was he trying to get her into trouble so he could demand things?

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor could feel the chaos now swelling around in her brain. “What sort of misunderstanding, Ensign?” he asked, he noted something down in his Padd

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

She was used to counselors taking notes. The first few times it had really bothered her, but now it was just normal. Except just then it made her anxiety worse. What was he writing?

Dradvia chewed on her lip. It was degrading, and any way she put it, it would sound like a complaint. It would cause trouble and more confrontation. “Just a personal misunderstanding. We… we disagreed on the answer.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor thought a moment he could feel, “I see” he said, “Well as I mentioned if that changes please let me know” he said he could tell she was holding back but it’s her choice if she did not want to deal with it. “So shall we move on to regression?” he asked

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

Dradvia nodded, “Yes.” She set the glass of water down and wrapped her hands around her upper arms. She adjusted her gaze to the floor between her feet and breathed in a few times.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

“Ok relax and think about the time you want to work on” he said his voice very monotone.

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

Dradvia thought about it for a moment and then concentrated on what had happened. She’d been heading toward the holodeck to use the garden program. The ship had suddenly come to an all stop. She’d panicked so bad, she’d run all the way back to her quarters and locked the door.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

He felt the rise in anxiety, “Ok walk me through what’s happening” he said is voice still soft, she was getting comfortable with the process now. People at this point would tend to draw inward and not relay what was going on. It was important for them that they not do that, it would increase the chance of full regression which was not controlled.

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

“I… was going to the holodeck. The session…ship came to a full stop. I,” it was shameful. Really. She knew in her head she was okay, but.... “I ran to my quarters and hid.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor fingers quietly tapped in some information, “And why are you hiding?” he asked,

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

That was almost worse than the memories. Dradvia knew why she was hiding. She knew she wasn’t on Lokhar’s ship. She knew the odds were slight (but never zero) that nothing bad had made them stop. She couldn’t stop her reaction though. “B…bbecause I don’t know why we stopped or what is going to happen.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor felt for her, it was always in the back of her mind the threat that was not likely to come. “proceed, what happened next?” he asked.

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

Dradvia shrugged. “I… I stayed in my room with the door locked.” There was more, but … but did she want to say? “My… my friend found me and sat with me.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor listened to here, noting her breathing and what she was saying, “What happened between you locking the door and your friends arrival, was it a short or long time?” he asked

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

Dradvia shook her head after a moment. “I’m not sure. I… I don’t remember.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

“That’s ok, go back to just before you entered your quarters” he asked, “Some times we have to replay a little, tell me what you thought as you entered the room”

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

Dradvia thought about it. She only remembered panicking (she started to again) and… “I needed to hide. If I kept the lights off and was quiet no one could find me.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor looked at his notes, “After the thought, what did you do next?” he ask, he was going to step her through this event, it was odd that she chose it yet it seemed like a non event. Tealor reached deeper into her feelings incase her subconscious was hiding something.

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

For Dradvia, the shifting of the engines was a reminder of the constant fear and instability of that time. It wasn’t one particular time of not knowing, but the constant exposure to the repeated torturous not knowing what would happen next, in the immediate future hours (at most).

“Ummm,” her voice uttered between heavy breaths. “I used the manual lock on the door.” She stopped as a huge wave of self-preservation crashed over her. If she told him where she was hiding, then he could find her there. It wouldn’t protect her any more.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor waited for a moment, he wanted to see where her anxiety level was. “what do you see, smell, hear” he asked

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

Dradvia swallowed trying to remember. “It’s really dark. Just the black shape of the furniture.” She shook her head her hands flexing over her arms. “Umm the quiet. The engines are quiet…” She shook her head harder that time. “I don’t remember.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor’s voice remained calm and somber, “That’s ok, what happened next?” he asked trying to push her a little deeper, “If your uncomfortable start your tapping” he noted, seeing her grip tighten.

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

Dradvia started tapping, but her expression was upset and stressed. Her brows drew together. “Ummm…” she was confused. She couldn’t remember. “Ummm? My friend came.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

He could feel her stress how it was making her feel. “I don’t need to know who it was , you know. ” he said. “Focus on how you felt when they arrived.

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

“Scared, I didn’t know who it was.” Her emotions were truly a swirling miasma of confusion about her friend. “Relieved I guess it was him.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor nodded it was involuntary . “Go back to just before he came, did he knock or just enter?”

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

Dradvia shook her head. “He always knocks. He never comes in.” She tried to remember and suddenly shuddered and jumped. “The knock was really loud, like pounding. He doesn’t do that.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor spoke softly, “It’s ok ensign, start your breathing, once you are ready continue” he said

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

Dradvia tried counting, but it took her longer than normal to get her rhythm. It took longer before she could continue. Then suddenly she stopped the rhythmic breathing and tapping. She hugged herself in a more agitated fashion. Her gaze came up, “I can’t remember.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

“Can you not remember? or is it something you don’t want to share?” He asked, the question was soft and not presented as an accusation. Missing memory was a sign of trauma or worse.

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

Dradvia shook her head. “I can’t remember.” It was freaking her out. “I… I went to my quarters. Someone was pounding on my door. I… I think there was yelling, but… I don’t know.” She shook her head, like it would make it make sense. “Then… Si… my friend knocked.” She felt like there was more. She hadn’t disassociated in a long time. Had she fallen asleep instead?

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor leaned forward, “We really should get to why there is time loss, I can regress you further, or I can enter your mind and help you.” he was now concerned gaps like this were normally caused by extreme trauma.

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

Dradvia was upset too because she didn’t think anything that horrible had happened. Just her trauma reactions. “Could… could I have just stressed myself too much?” She didn’t want it to be something new.

She shook her head, “No, I… I want to remember on my own.” She wanted to try anyway before Tessan resorted to using his telepathy.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor shook his head,”It’s possible that stress might cause little gaps, but this feels like a large gap, it could be a flashback as well” he said not wanting to cause to much concern. “Close your eyes and got back to where you first entered the room.” he suggested, his voice becoming suttle and drawing. “Slowly walk yourself to where you memory goes blank, don’t panic, take a few steps back and start looking at your surroundings, what you hear, what you smell, the air in the room, the lighting. try to find details and then step forward and do it again”

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

Dradvia couldn’t close her eyes. She knew it helped, but she felt too vulnerable alone in the office. Tessan was nice, and she felt bad about it, but she just couldn’t yet.

She stared down at the floor between her feet. She remembered going in her quarters and locking the door. She moved toward her bed and her blanket. Then…then Sisnil being there....

“Ummm…I hear the lock engage when I touched the controls, the air is…” she shrugged, “just recycled air. Clean but odorless. Ummm…it’s dark, just light from under the door. A little glow from the computer terminal. I can just make out the shapes of my desk.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor noticed that she still had her eyes open and that he still made her uncomfortable, which was expected she was alone in a room with him. “now take a step forward, and do it again”

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

Her brows drew together. “I’m… I was,” she corrected herself, “cold. I wanted my blanket. I… I remember thinking it was darker than normal because the stars weren’t streaking past. I set my hand on the desk so I wouldn’t bump it in the dark.”

Her breathing increased suddenly and she curled into herself.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor felt the withdraw,, “Ensign what are you feeling?” he asked, he needed to draw her backout, something was most certainly wrong.

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

“Trapped.” She was breathing harder. “They’re looking for me. I’ll get in trouble, but I don’t want to go. Master will punish me. I’m scared.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

“Ensign you are on the Wolverine, you have no master here.” he noted. “You are trying to remember what happened in your quarters.” he noted reaching out with his mind a little deeper to get a full sense of where she was.

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

She swallowed. The Wolverine?

In her mind she was in a dark room, like a small cargo bay or storage room, hiding behind boxes, curled in a ball. Voices were yelling, the guards were pounding on things. Threatening her specifically if she didn’t answer.

It was melded with someone rapidly and loudly banging on her quarters’ door. They were yelling her name angrily. Or to her it was. Tessan might interpret it as frustration and irritation bordering on exasperated with a hint of mad. They were clearly upset at her lack of response and banged louder.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor felt her confusion, “Ensign Dradvia, stay on the Wolverine don’t go back in your past, stay in the present in you quarters.” he said he had to get her to focus or he was going to have to try to pull her out of it.

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

She swallowed again and nodded just slightly. The Wolverine. “Ummm… my quarters…” is was more question than statement. “I… I’m scared.” But she couldn’t remember why.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor thought a moment. “Look around you in the room what do you see what could be threating you right now” he asked

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

“I… it’s dark, just… furniture.” Had someone been in her room? No… she didn’t think so. “I… I wanted my blanket. I was cold; I wanted to sleep.” Her brows drew down. “I don’t… I don’t see anything.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor noticed she keeped skiping from when she entered the room and then the next thing she is cold looking for a blanket and was cold. “Why are you cold?” he asked

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

The question seemed to give some order to her thoughts. “I.. I uh always get cold when… panic attacks.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor looked at her for a moment trying to decide what to do next. “Ok Ensign one more time, take yourself back to when you entered the room and slowly walk through it again” he asked, he wanted to make sure she was not just skipping for other reasons.

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

Dradvia took a breath. This time it was more steady and slow. “I entered my quarters and manually locked the door. I left the lights off. I was cold and wanted my blanket.” It was more than being cold. It was a havey weighted blanket. It was like a hug. “I moved toward my bed to get it. I… I bumped my hip, so I put my hand on my desk so I wouldn’t do it again. The only light was from under the door and from my terminal.” What did she do next?

“I went around my desk and I… I fell…” She didn’t remember falling… She pulled in a sharp distressed inhale. “Someone was pounding on my door, yelling for me to unlock it. It scared me and I fell.” Her fingers twitched like they might tap but didn’t know what to do. “I don’t want them in my room.” It was a whisper, quiet, scared, pleading.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor’s soft voice cut through the talk, she was doing better this time around and he hoped she would move into more detail from this point. He did not want to push into your privacy but needed the events to come out. “Breath nice and slow, ” he encouraged mimicking, he new at this point praise could trigger her, “You said, they, did they come in the room?” he asked not probing for a name but the event

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

She tried to follow his breaths. They sounded overly loud in the room, but she couldn’t quite breathe as slowly. “I… I don’t think so, but I’m not sure. “Someone banged on my door, not the chime. I fell…” her brows drew together. Did she hit her head? She’ had a horrible headache, but she thought it was from the panic attack. “They… were yelling at me to open the door.”

“I think… they… I don’tknow. I felt like they wanted to hurt me.. then I… I remember my friend knocking.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

He looked at her concerned it seemed like she either hurt her head, or there was something very wrong going on. There was to much confusion in it. There was a “They were at her door and then it was her friend. It could be as simple as she was having a flash back while her friend was trying to get her attention. They needed to be sure. “And your friend did you let them in? what happened next.” he asked

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

“Not at first. I didn’t know who it was…” she took a deep breath remembering something. “He was talking to the person outside my door. Then he knocked.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor stopped and listened intently. “Do you think it was them the entire time? ” he asked trying to figure out if the knocking was two separate groups of people or if it was the same group.

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

Dradvia went back in her mind, trying to remember. To distinguish the events. “No. Someone was pounding on my door and yelling. My friend doesn’t do that. They know it scares me.” Then it was very clear to Tessan that the banging and yelling and triggered a flashback while she was alone. Probably exacerbated by the fact she fell and hurt herself.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor felt more comfortable that it had not been a violation at this point. “When you are ready feel free to stop if you wish” he said and waited for here to return fully to the room

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

Dradvia took a another few breaths before blinking and looking up.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor smiled warmly, “How are you feeling Ensign” he asked, it had been fairly intense but she had been through worse since they met. He pushed a new glass of water her way.

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

Dradvia took the glass, curling into the chair. “Tired and… scared… well post scared? I don’t know how to describe it.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor nodded , “I think that makes sense, ” he noted .”Tell me there seemed to be some time missing there? id you get checked out after the fall?” he was concerned that she may have had a concussion or worse

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

“No. I didn’t remember falling.” She sipped the water for a moment. “I had a headache after and felt sick, but I thought it was from the panic attack.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

He frowned a little at her comment, something that he almost never did. “Ensign” he said, a little caution in his voice he said pulling out a tricorder from his desk. “I would like to take a look if that’s ok” he did not tell her that was concerned that someone may have tampered with her mind, but he wanted to check for medical reasons for the memory loss. “If you hit your head, it would show up on scans, May I?” he asked.

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

He was frowning. Even though she was staring at her glass she could see it in her peripheral vision that he was frowning. Why? Had he done something wrong? She should have at least checked herself she knew instead of assuming it was panic. But… she didn’t remember falling. If he had known she had been hurt, Sisnil would have brought her to sickbay. She nodded, “Of course.”

The scans showed she had hit the side of her head. But there was no evidence of a concussion.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

The scans revealed what he was worried about, there was a hit to her head but there was no evidence being concussed. He sighed, he had to be careful on how he approached the next step, or it could regress a lot of the progress they made.

“Ensign” he said trying to keep his tone somewhat light and not wanting to jump to any conclusions. “Well I don’t see any damage, you did hit your head,” he paused. “But nothing that would suggest memory loss.”

He looked at her, “There is a significant gap of time, from when the people were pounding on the door, and when your friend arrived. ” he suggested. “I think it is very important to your recovery that we find out what happened in that space.” he said leaning forward, onto his desk. “I would like to go in and take a look at that time period, but I want to be forthcoming, I may see things you don’t want me too, Like your friend that came to visits.” he noted.

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

Normally Dradvia didn’t baulk at Tessan’s telepathy. She did this time. Sisnil hadn’t asked her to keep him a secret, just some of the things he told her. She had been reluctant to give his name though. She was afraid Tessan would order her to stay away from Sisnil because of his background and the circumstances of his presence on board. She wasn’t strong enough to defy a direct order, and she didn’t want to loose her friend. So, she just didn’t tell.

“I probably just disassociated. I’ve done that before when something really triggers my trauma. I’m sure it’s fine.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor could sense she was uneasy. “It’s possible, Ensign but I have been doing this a very long time,” he said with a fairly confident tone. “I’m very old” he said trying to lighten things a little. His own mind was going to much darker places and it was starting to present externally.

“This does not feel like disassociation, to me,” he said. “Normally if you regress into a memory several times little bits and pieces of different information will seep in from different time with in the space, this is too rigid, to exact” he said and he paused.

“Ensign I” he stopped, he did not know how to get her to trust him it felt impossible sometimes. He knew it was nothing to do with him, more his position and the trama it triggered.

“I really think we should take a look, you’ll have me with you the entire time. I” he paused again trying to decide if he should say it or not. “Ensign I, ” he started. “I’m concerned, the break in time is unnatural, I” he started again his eyes now soft, full of compassion, and doubt, something she had not seen from him before. “I, I need you to trust me” he finished.

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

Tessan was scaring her. He didn’t mean to, she knew, but the implications were scary. Who or how would her memory be tampered with? She didn’t like being alone with Tessan, but that was her trauma not him. But thee was something bad behind her lost memory, or at least Tessan thought so. She wasn’t sure she wanted to know.

She fidgeted with her fingers, staring at them, curled in the chair. “Could… could my friend sit with me?”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Tealor thought about it for a very long moment, if her friend was who he suspected it was, then it could be a problem but it was progress so he agreed. “I think that would be ok, so long as they stayed absolutely quiet , though they could hold your hand if you want, would you like to call them?” he asked.

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

Dradvia nodded. She wished Sisnil would just show up. =/\=Drasvia to,” she closed her eyes praying Tessan wouldn’t take her friend away. “To Zoi. Could you come to sickbay?=/\=

Tealor had heard rumors that the two of them had been spending time together. So when she made the call his face remained netrual. If Mr Zoi would comfort here through the process then there would not be a problem as long as he stayed out of it.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Sisnil’s response didn’t come over the comm, but telepathically. On my way, he said.

She didn’t know if Tessan could hear Sisnil too, but his response seemed to ease her worry some.

Another minute later and he appeared in Sickbay, looking for them. When he arrived he sat by Dee. “Is everything okay?”

~ Zoi

They were in Tessan’s office, and Drasvia was curled up in a chair, holding a glass of water. Her anxiety and fear was tangible. “Ummm. I… I have a gap in my memory, and Dr. Tessan wants,” she glanced at Sisnil and then Tessan, not really sure what to call it. “He wants to try and help me remember.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Sisnil set a hand gently on her and glanced at Tessan. “Some things are better left forgotten.”

~ Zoi

Dradvia went still at the touch, but not fear. It was so unfamiliar, but after a moment, even though she didn’t return the gesture, she relaxed.

Tealor looked at Zoi, he had to tred somewhat carefully. “Mr Zoi you have been invited here to provide moral support,” he paused only a moment. “There is significant indication that her mind has been tampered with. For your sake, you need to stay our of her head from this movement forward. Or you could be implicated.” he said folding his hands. “Contrary to what you both may think, I am in favor of your ” he paused. “Friendship, if there are two people that can understand each other it’s you” he said. “If you want the friendship to continue than you need to follow my instructions and stay out of her mind until we are done here today or you are liable to never see each other again. ” he did not wait for Zoi to acknowledge what he said, Tealor had a clear read of her mind and he would know if Zoi violated.

NO! The denial and panic were overwhelming. “Sisnil wouldn’t hurt me,” her voice was quiet but certain. She knew she should not have asked Sisnil to come. Tessan was going to take her friend away. He was going to use her to hurt Sisnil. It was all pretty lies. Lokhar did it all the time. Support hiding manipulation. She would not listen. They wouldn’t make her doubt her friend. She wouldn’t be pitted against him in some game.

“I wouldn’t risk that,” Sisnil said softly. “But you gotta believe I wouldn’t do anything she didn’t want me to.”

Tessan did not want to interuput Dradvia, and he did not want to side line conversation in thought with Zoi, she deserved to know everything that was going on.
he did look at Zoi for a moment when he said it, and understanding look in his eyes.

“Ensign I know this is scary, it’s why I allowed you to bring your friend here, but my advice is we move forward, if we don’t and it’s discovered through other channels, they may not give Mr Zoi a chance to explain himself, and just blame him. ” he said sincerely. “Please for your sake and his, lets get to the bottom of this”

Dr Tealor Tessan
Chief Medical Officer U.S.S Wolverine

Sisnil squeezed her hand gently. “You do what you’re comfortable with, Dee.”

~ Zoi

If Dradvia could do what she was comfortable with she wouldn’t be in Tessan’s office. She shook her head. “I’m sorry,” she pulled away from his hand, curling tighter into herself. “I wasn’t trying to get you in trouble,” she whispered to Sisnil. She’d just… what? Believed for a moment she could have something so normal as comfort when she was scared. If possible, she seemed to get even smaller. “You should go.” Sisnil hadn’t heard her voice sound so dead in weeks.

Tealor lifted his hand slight motioning him not too. He was in no trouble this was simply her tramma responding, he had expected this.

She didn’t want Sisnil to leave, but she wouldn’t be selfish again. Her next words were for Tessan, but she wasn’t daring enough to look at him. “I won’t let you use me to hurt him.” It was just disassociation caused by panic. Tessan lied to get her to admit Sisnil was her friend, so they could trap him further, so they could hurt him. She told Sisnil she was too broken to be his friend, and now here was the proof in all it’s harsh cruelty. It didn’t matter what caused her gap in memory, it would be manipulated to accuse Sisnil.

A brave person would have gotten up and walked out. Dradvia just withdrew into herself. It didn’t matter what they did to her as long as she never hurt anyone again. She had to remember that. She took Kryssa’s life; she would never be part of anything that hurt someone else. No matter who or what they were. Not even to save herself.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

“Mr Zoi, please stay.” He suggested. “Ensign Mr Zoi is not in trouble, and i’m trying to keep it that way, when we communicate telepathically with someone it leaves a sort of psychic imprint that is unique to each person.” he said, “Please use your breathing, I need to you to be strong now, not just for you but for Mr Zoi as well. ” he said turning to Zoi. “You know what i’m saying is true, and they will blame you regardless of your intentions never bothering to investigate.” he paused briefly

What her brain interpreted from that was she had to comply or they would hurt Sisnil. Breath like they told her, think like they told her, do whatever they wanted and they wouldn’t hurt her friend.

“Yes,” Sisnil said simply. It was true, his status as an active Syndicate member made him automatically suspicious.

“I’ve already logged a formal complaint to starfleet about the conditions you are under, I believe they violate several start fleet regulations.” He said to him briefly. “The sooner I can get in there, identify what’s going on and witness that Zoi had nothing to do with it, the sooner your friendship can continue as it has been.” he said trying to help them both understand that he was not against them but how serious the situation could get if left unchecked.

“Intelligence doesn’t play by the regular rules,” Sisnil said, shrugging. “Your complaints will simply cease to exist. Besides, it’s this or a penal colony.”

~ Zoi

It didn’t matter, Sisnil had shared things with her psychically several times already. They would just blame him. Tessan would know all the things they had talked about, the private, personal things they had shared. No. No she wouldn’t do it. She wouldn’t let them trap Sisnil and hurt him. They could lock her up if they wanted. “No. I’m not doing it, and you can’t tell anyone about what we’ve talked about. Doctor - patient confidentiality. I do NOT give you permission to discuss it. I have gaps all over my memory, another one doesn’t make a difference.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

“Ensign this is different” he responded earnestly.

“Mr Zoi, help her understand, if we don’t do this now, someone will do it later, and they won’t care what happens to the two of you” he noted. “Ensign please, i’m not trying to hurt you, I’m trying to help you, and him” He could tell that her trauma had taken over, he could use empathy to make her feel less stressed but somehow it felt like a violation at this point. And if Zoi did it it would just indicate that he was trying to hide something. She was wrong in this case, if he felt that her mind had been tampered with he was required to report it, he could hold off for a time but not long.

She didn’t believe Tessan. Not about any of it. Dradvia drew further into herself and stayed quiet.

“Might help if you stop calling her ensign like she’s a robot or something,” Sisnil muttered. He turned to Dee and set a hand on her shoulder. “Can you think about it? He can hold off for a little while, I’m sure he could give us until your next session.” He said, giving Tessan a meaningful look, having pulled that he could hold off reporting it from Tessan’s mind.

~ Zoi

There was nothing to think about. Days, months, it didn’t matter. She wouldn’t let them use her to hurt or trap him.

Tealor looked at Zoi, he meant well and he would agree but. “I would be happy to address her in such a manner, however she has asked that our interactions remain strickly professional and avoid personal address. I intended to honor that request.” he looked at her. “I can hold for a couple of days to give you time to think, during that time, Mr Zoi, it is critical that you have no psychic contact at all with her, no sensing her feeling, thought talk, or otherwise reaching out with your abilities to her. ” he paused “I need to be able to go in find the alteration and not find you anywhere near it.”

Then Sisnil was already doomed. He often helped her with his empathy when she had a panic attack. She let him talk to her as much as he needed whenever he needed. She shook her head. “No. You aren’t allowed to force me into a psychic connection I don’t want.” He could but it was medically illegal.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

“Then I’m screwed either way, because my psychic signature is all over her mind already,” Sisnil said. He looked at Dee, “What if I want you to do it?”

~ Zoi

Her eyes raised just slightly, staring at his left shoulder. Why? Why would he want that? She knew he didn’t do anything to her. She didn’t care what anyone else thought they knew. If she let Tessan, they would hurt Sisnil. She couldn’t be the cause. “They’ll twist it,” her voice didn’t even break, it was just dead. “I know you didn’t hurt me.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Sisnil gave one of those carefully judging looks to Tessan. “I trust him.” He said, voice cautious. “Let Tessan do this. He won’t let that happen.” He turned to Tessan, “Will you?”

~ Zoi

Tealor was sure that as long as Sisnil had not gotten near the memory in the past his mind would not be near it, this was something else. What he was really trying to avoid was him looking for it. “I swear I will do everything I can to project you and Ensign Dradvia” he paused, “I’ll swear it via the old Covenants if have too,” he said. He was not sure how much Sisnil new about the old traditions. “As long as you have not been near the memory I’ll know,” he noted, “and I’ll know the signature of the person who did it.”

Dradvia drew further into herself, becoming smaller in the chair, her mental presence becoming more like static. They were going to make her break her promise. They could hurt her, she didn’t care, but not Sisnil, not through her. Sisnil might think Tessan meant well, but he had orders to follow too. Once they broke her, it was all to easy for them to keep doing it.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Sisnil looked at Tessan, unsure what to do. “If you’re sure I can’t use my telepathy, I don’t know how to help her.”

~ Zoi

Tealor looked at him, he agreed she had regressed very far inside. “It’s up to you, stay away from her memories and just use the empathy, that leaves a different mark so it should be ok,” he noted. “Stay on the surface though. I’m going to leave you too alone for a few minutes,” he said standing to his feet and walked toward the door. “I’ll be back in five minutes.”

Sisnil turned toward her and hugged her close to him, using his empathy to soothe her gently and carefully. “It’s okay, Dee. I’m here. Nothing is going to happen. Not to either of us.”

~ Zoi

Her posture was stiff and unyielding. Slowly his empathy helped her relax and help her surface. She wanted to believe him so badly. That he would help make everyhing okay. That’s why she asked him to come. So she wouldn’t be alone. She cautiously leaned against him.

That was when she recognized what he was doing. Soohing her with his empathy. Fear rose and the tears started. Dradvia pushed against him roughly. “Stop. You have to get away from me. They are going to hurt you because of me!”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Sisnil held on to her tightly. “No, they’re not. It’s okay, Dee. Everything is going to be fine.” He was using a soft, calming voice. “I’m not going anywhere and they can’t make me. I’d tear this galaxy apart to find you.”

~ Zoi

She wasn’t worried about herself. “They’ll take you, punish you. They’ll blame you, no matter what Tessan says or what I know and you know. Tessan tricked me into telling him and I didn’t realize it. It’s my fault.” Her brokenness was going to spread to him.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Sisnil smiled and gave her one of his looks. “Come on, Dee. Do you really think I’d let them take me?” He said. “I’ll be fine.” At least, he thought, he could trust her to keep a secret. This woman would take his secrets to her grave if he asked her to.

~ Zoi

“No,” she thought he’d rather get himself killed. What could he do, trapped on a tin can hurtling through space with a whole crew looking for him? This was her fault. “What… what if he sees our secrets? I can’t stop him and he won’t let you help me!” What if Tessan saw things she agreed to never tell? She’d break her promise to Sisnil, get him in trouble… get his crew and Noril in trouble!

She looked up at him so lost and scared. “Do… do you really want me to let him?” She didn’t see what purpose it served. “I don’t care if I’ve got a memory gap. I have lots, I’m used to it.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

“But he does, and he will report it. If you let him do this, he can report he knows it’s not me. They’ll investigate me anyway, but they won’t be able to just pin it on me.” He hugged her again, “I think you should. He’s… not like me. He won’t go looking for your secrets.”

~ Zoi

Dradvia wasn’t so sure. If Tessan thought it was necessary for her ‘recovery’ and therapy would he just look any way? Would she be able to stop him? She doubted it. They had nothing to hide, but she knew all too well that things could be manipulated and twisted. “Okay.” She’d do it if he wanted her to. Despite what others might think, she wasn’t letting Sisnil decide for her. She didn’t care if Tessan reported it and it got her locked up or discharged because she refused. It was Sisnil who was most at risk. It wasn’t her place to decide what he was willing to risk. Sisnil had given her no reason to distrust him or fear him. She wouldn’t make that decision for him.

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

Sisnil smiled reassuringly. She was refusing to protect him, and he respected that, but he, to his surprise, trusted Tessan’s opinion. The best way to protect him was to do this, not to refuse. “I can’t help telepathically, but I will be right here next to you the whole time.”

~ Zoi

She leaned against him for just a moment longer. “I… I want you to stay, but I don’t think you should. Tessan could say you were manipulating me anyway.”

Ens. Dradvia, Medical Officer

It was at that point that Tealor came back in, he moved over to the seat across from them this time there was no desk in the middle. He looked at them both, his black eyes surrounded by tired lids, He had a worried look on his face that neither of them had ever seen from him before. “Have you decided?” he asked. Hoping they had made the right choice.
