“Yes Sir.” Dradvia was quick to leave. She had no plans, but was glad to be free. Seven whole days before she had to do that again. She had reserved time in the holodeck. She was going to see Umbra. No, she wasn’t a real cat, but Dradvia enjoyed the program.

Tealor waited for her to leave and then went back to his desk, finalized his notes. He stared out the window thinking on his own past.

It was time for another appointment. Dradvia was tired. She had dark circles under her eyes, and she was quieter than normal. Not that anyone noticed, and no one could complain about the quality of her work.

Talor opened the door with a smile and then saw the dark under eyes. He did not react thought. “Come in Ensign, have a seat if you like.” there was already a tall cold class of water sitting on the table and his usual cup of hot tea. He waited for her to sit before he did.
