After his conversation, Dee used a forcefield to keep him still and put him to sleep with the sedative.

He was asleep for eight or so hours, the entire lifetime of the sedative. When it started to wear off, he started to wake. He tried to move, but the forcefield was still active and limited what he could do. “Dee? Dee?!”

It’s just the forcefield.” Dradvia set her hand over his and stood from where she was sitting beside him. “I finally got your pain levels under control.” The forcefield had ended up being necessary. The pain and other effects of the poison had caused him to twitch and writhe quite a bit in his sleep.
