“Just remember that while we haven’t discussed it yet since I came to the Wolverine, my open mindedness from the Saracen still exists. I’ve not changed in that way. It’s all about communication and consent.” She eyed the frozen holographic image for a moment and then impishly looked back at him. “And what happens on the holodeck, stays on the holodeck.”

“Oui, I remember. Speakine of open-minded, per’aps when dis little adventure is over, we should discuss a . . . .menage-a trois, no?”

Before Ayla could reply, he activated the program once again. The room came to life and Tika crossed her arms over her ample chest and began tapping one slippered shoe on the floor. She eyed Ayla up and down with a scowl and said, “Well. . . .I’m waiting. . . .”

Remy cleared his throat and continued. “Tika, dis is Ayla, my new partner. Cher, dis is Tika. I’m sure you two will become good friends, you ‘ave much in common.”

Ayla gave Tika a friendly wave. “Clearly,” Sharise deadpanned. She was teasing of course, since she had no idea of the background of the character, but this was a program where they could let loose and be whatever, and lately with less nightmares and her sleep having improved, she was feeling… different. And right now she was going to let herself explore that.

“What now?” she asked Remy.
