“Fair enough, although I’m sure there’s a way for them to get a message without being traceable. Do you have any questions for me about your duties, the crew, anything else?” He grinned mischievously. “The replicator settings for this tea?”
Commander David Morris
Commanding Officer“The replicator settings for this tea would be fantastic.” Sisnil replied. “Other than that, no.” He had a plan, he knew how to send an untraceable message. But the man was more than paranoid and determined to do it at the knowledge of no one. All he had to do was breach the communications system, send it untraceably, and then cover his tracks.
~ Zoi
“I’ll have them sent to the console in your quarters,” David said. “If there’s nothing else, you’re dismissed, Mr. Zoi.”
Commander David Morris
Commanding OfficerOOC: It’s ridiculous how eerily similar Remy and Zoi’s backstories are almost carbon copies!! Both worked in criminal organizations, both have twin brothers, both get caught doing illegal stuff at Starfleet, both are given the option of entering Intel or go to prison for a long time, both end up on the Wolverine. . . . coincidence?
IC: Remy burst into the Ready Room without ringing the chime. His face was etched with consternation. As he spoke jis Cajun accent was thicker than normal.
“What de ‘ell, Morris?? You bring in an intelligence ‘consultant’ wit’out my knowledge? You don’ tink it is impo’tant enough to read in de Intel officer already on dis ship?? I ‘ave to ‘ear it from a security guard? You don’ even share ‘is personnel file wit’ me? I ‘ave to do my own search to discover who ‘e is an’ why ‘e is ‘ere!! And DAT took some time, no?”
Captain Remy Boudreaux
Starfleet Intelligence USS WolverineOOC: OMG what????? I swear I didn’t know ahahahah I made him a twin because I’m starting an XFleet pirate ship and his twin is the Captain of it!
Sisnil stood and whirled towards the intruder. “I don’t recall your being called.” He said evenly. “Nor do I appreciate your breach of this private meeting. Care to explain your presence?” He asked, meeting Remy’s gaze and holding it with the authority expected of a ship Captain. After all, he had been Captain of a vessel full of criminals until very recently.
~ Zoi
Remy took a step toward Zoi and looked down at the man, letting his imposing figure settle for a moment in silence.
“You are right. I was no’ called, but should ‘ave been. I am CAPTAIN Remy Bourdreaux, de Wolverine’s intelligence officer. I do no’ care what you ‘preciate’, Monsieur Zoi . It is my responsibility to know who is on dis ship and what purpose dey are ‘ere for. Whether an asset o’ enemy. I will do what is necessary fo’ de saftey of dis ship, crew and de Federa-SHON.”
He turned his back to Zoi and look at Morris. On his face, a questioning look as to say, “Well?”
Captain Remy Boudreaux
Starfleet Intelligence USS WolverineDavid held up a hand to forestall any further argument. “Captain Boudreaux, Sisnil Zoi. Sisnil, Captain Boudreaux.” He pressed a button and spun his console around, the screen now displaying an (albeit incomplete) personnel file. “I did send you a warning, but I’d imagine given your reaction it got lost. The personnel file was on its way after we finished this meeting, but I take it you found what you needed?” He smiled placatingly. “In fact, my next task was to read you in in person, but we can do that now. Mr. Zoi has been assigned, per an agreement he made with me on behalf of and with the backing and instruction of Command, as an expert and consultant with us. He will be under your authority, but he is a civilian - not Starfleet, and when I deem it necessary, may be placed in charge of an independent team directly under myself or invited to senior staff meetings. At all other times, he is considered Intelligence department and assigned to you. I think, aside from this…unfortunate first encounter, you two should get along fine.”
Commander David Morris
Commanding Officer
Remy took a deep breath to calm down.
“You canno’ be serious? You are goine to trust ‘im? Give ‘im free reign of de Wolverine? Dere is only one reason ‘e is ‘ere. I’ve updated security protocols for de computer core, but wit’ ‘is ‘acking skills, it’s only a matter of time before he’ll gain access to EVERY file. Once ‘e ‘as dat informa-SHON, ‘ow long do you tink he will stick around, Commander? Everytine ‘bout de Wolverine an’ all ‘er secrets will be for sale on de black market in no time an’ ‘e will be gone.”
Sisnil eyed Boudreaux coldly. “Like he said. I’m not Starfleet. I’m here for my expertise and connections. Which means you don’t outrank me, Captain, not in my books. So best not act like it.”
Remy slowly turned to face Zoi again.
Then he straightened, “If we are supposed to work together…” He glanced at Morris as if to ask really? “Then I am Captain Sisnil Zoi. Not a Captain of Starfleet, but of the freighter I was so rudely taken away from. All the same, don’t talk down to me. It won’t go over well.”
~ Zoi
“C’est une menace? You are obviously unaware of what I am capable of doine for de safety of de Federa-SHON.”
Keeping his eyes on Zoi, Remy reached to his neck and pulled the captain’s pips off his collar. “You are making a grave mistake, Cmdr. Morris. I will no’ be a part of de destruc-SHON of dis ship and crew. I only ‘ope you realize de mistake you are makine before it’s too late.”
Dropping his pips on Morris’ desk, a desk that not long ago belonged to him, and without another word, Remy walked out the door. . . .
