Commander Morris had made an appointment with one doctor Tessan on behalf of Sisnil Zoi. At the time of the appointment, the notably unhappy Betazoid made his way to the ship’s medical bay and stood, arms crossed.

Though Tessan was Betazoid, Sisnil’s thoughts and emotions were closely guarded and controlled. That kind of training was essential in the Syndicate. He could, however, sense Sisnil’s unease and unhappiness with being here.

Taelor pushed out the man’s feelings. It was not like him to slip and read others. ‘I must be working too hard,’ he thought to himself. He was, of course, blocking his own mind. Having grown up on Earth, he culturally did not like the open book culture of Betazoids, he found it intrusive.

Approaching Zoi, a warm smile formed at the corners of his mouth as he looked down at the man. “You must be Sisnil Zoi?” he asked, trying to confirm that this was his next appointment. The man looked healthy enough, if not a bit standoffish.

Sisnil was a good telepath, and he had a lot of mental training, thanks to his time in the Syndicate. But he didn’t need to make an enemy of the ship doctor within ten seconds of meeting him. So when he felt Tessan’s walls, he didn’t push… Too hard.

“I am. Commander’s orders have me here, so make it snappy, will you?”
