The new Tactical officer walked into the Wolverine’s sickbay and looked around, blue artificial eyes taking in the room and people in it. She looked at one of the Medical officers and said “Hi! Sorry to interrupt, but I just got on board. Do I need to schedule a physical, or can I see if someone is available now?”

McCallister, Tactical

“Oh yes,” the medical officer said, “Dr. García will see you in a moment. Anywhere you see open is fine.”

She was directed to a row of examination bed lined up against the wall. Most were empty so she had her choice of where to wait. Soon after, Dr. García rounded the corner. She smiled and gave the Lieutenant a cheerful, “Hello.”

She stood beside the bed for a moment, going over the Lieutenant’s notes. Her cybernectic eye implants were much more advanced than the doctor’s own. And certainly much less obvious, aside from the striking color. McCallister also might have noticed, because of the shorter length uniform Rosa was fond of wearing, her prosthetic limb. It was a traditional prosthetic not far off from early 21st century technology-wise.

“And you are Lieutenant McCallister, correct? It is nice to meet you, you may call me Rosa.”

“I am, and thanks Rosa. Call me Raven, if you like. My middle name.” McCallister said with a warm smile and in a friendly, bubbly manner. “You been on the ship long? How do you like it?”

“It is nice to meet you Raven,” Rosa said. Then paused and thought for a moment.

“I’ve been onboard for a few months now. So far the people are nice enough. It’s been quite though. I suppose you could say that’s a good thing.”

Rosa scanned the notes again before continuing, “Okay, onboarding… Now, we have a standard medic exam, and they want me to collect some medical data regarding your implants as well. We won’t be doing any diagnostics but just checking for reactions, irritation around the sight and such. Does that sound alright with you?”

“Sure thing.” Raven said. “And no injuries or illness since my last exam.” she preempted, obviously familiar with onboarding questions. “And the eyes feel great and I have had no issues other than a little headache when I am filtering into ultraviolet. Infrared doesn’t do the same thing, though.” she volunteered. She remained quiet a bit longer and then said “So quiet, huh? Do you know if you guys had a Tactical Officer on board before me? I ask becaus eif you did, then it’s a standard rotation. If you didn’t, then someone might be expecting trouble.”

In her usual fashion Rosa was multitasking, running a basic medical scan while remaining engaged in Raven’s conversation, “Well, I myself have only been onboard a month or so, I do not recall meeting the previous tactical officer before.”

“Kind of the impression I have picked up so far.” McCallister replied with a chuckle. She straightened her back to peer at readouts. “How’s everything looking, Doc?” she asked.

OOC: No physical issues, but the eye issues may be something if you want to tinker with some cybernetics. Otherwise, just getting used to it.
