I suppose I should head to my medical eval, Wraith thought to himself. He only had this eval and the psych eval left to deal with, save the worst for last. Actually truth be told his last several in Star Fleet hadn’t been horrible. Well except the reentrance one, that had been torture. He was actually quite confident that the Counselor given the task of giving him that evaluation had enjoyed bringing up the particularly hard experiences from McGarvey’s past and enjoyed making him express his emotions. That was why he was putting that one off until last. He didn’t really want to do it. The medical exam was also not one of his favorites but this one shouldn’t be as bad.I mean at least I have broken bones again., he mused to himself. as that thought crossed his mind he entered the sick bay.
“Hello, I’m Ensign McGarvey, hoping someone could help with my medical evaluation.” he stated clearly and in a relaxed standing position he waited stoically for someone to respond.

“I doubt the walls are going to give much a response to you, dear.” A lithe figure appeared at one side of the bay. Dark green skin, marked by the clarity of her ancestors, seemed to identify her as an Orion woman. Her hands, one tattooed with a design incomprehensible from a position far off, were resting upon her hips. Unnaturally green eyes seemed to scrutinize him, as she leisurely approached him. “Believe me, I have tried.”
“I am Doctor Greve Shaidi,” She offered her hand to him, a common greeting she found humans preferred over the bow she was once accustomed to offering.
“Please, have a seat on the biobed, Mister MacGarvey,” Greve gestured to a nearby unoccupied bed, heading over in that direction, in order to pull his file up on a PaDD.
Dr. Shaidi
Wraith of course complied and passively sat down on the appointed biobed.
The file on him would show a history of broken bones including 12 ribs and several occasions of broken arms and legs (fractures included) previous to joining Star Fleet, however, a lack of evidence for these injuries. The file would contain information on an unsubstantiated treatment in the Orthellos system that may explain only the deepest scans showing evidence of these previous breaks. However, the file would also show that in the past several years he has had several more concussions, broken bones, including his left arm, right leg, 4 ribs, and a small fracture to his cranium.
McGarvey patiently waited as Dr. Shaidi read through his file.

“You’ve been busy, haven’t you?” The voice of the Orion woman was teasing, as if facetiously razzing the security officer. “Have you felt any major headaches or migraines in the last few weeks? Any aches or pains?” She inquired, noticing the fractures and breaks. She wanted to make sure there had not been lasting conditions springing from them.
Retrieving a medical scanner, Shaidi checked its calibration, before running a basic scan of Peter and his physiology. It wouldn’t be deep enough to find that treatment, but it would bring to light any recent injuries or current conditions.
Dr. Shaidi
“Only minor pulls and strains from the past weeks conditioning exercises, I just increased my training intensity last week and so my body is still adapting to the new training routine.” In the holodeck he ran several different combat training simulations the goal was to be prepared for what were typically unwinable scenarios so if life ever through anything close to it at him it would still be easy; since the failure of rescuing Catherine he had only redoubled such exercises.
The scan would show that he had a fracture along his shoulder blade.
-Ensign Peter “Wraith” McGarvey (Security)
“Well, here is the source of some of your aches an pains.” She turned the tricorder towards him, “You are still showing signs of a fracture along your shoulder blade, so the bone hasn’t completely mended. I’d like to schedule you for a brief oestostimulation treatment, just to make sure the bone does completely merge back together. It doesn’t have to be today, by soon.”
Wraith listened to the doctor and he couldn’t say that he was especially surprised at the conclusion. He just hoped that the issue could be taken care of today.
“Tell me about this training; what does it consist of?”
Dr. Shaidi
“In many ways my training is standard, I try and spend 2-3 hours every other day strength training in the gym, I run everyday, perform Retzev daily, and 3 times a week I spar in a simulation with computer opponents in a holosuite simulation. Now that I’m on board I do need to check compatibility with our holodeck… Currently my sparring encounter is against 2 Klingon warriors and a 1 Jem’Hadar.” He did feel the need to explain that he had programmed the scenario that the Klingon were programmed to be combative both to himself and the Jem’Hadar but that both sides would consider him the primary target in combat. He also didn’t mention that no safety protocols were operational in his training sessions.
