The shuttle had arrived four hours prior, and the new Tactical Officer for the USS Wolverine had unloaded her belongings, found her quarters on Deck Three, and moved all the crates inside. She then took a sonic shower and put on a clean uniform. She put her hair in a tight braid that hung to between her shoulder blades, ensured she looked presentable, and then made her way to the bridge. She walked to the Ready room door, but before she pressed the chime she looked at the currently unmanned tactical station. Her head tilted slightly to the right and suddenly her vision was overlaid with tactical displays and system statuses. She grinned and then pressed the chime.

“Enter!” Bryson called out from the other side of the door. The CO had been sifting through daily reports for the past hour, and needed some time away from the many PaDDs on his desk.

McCallister stepped into the room and stood straight and tall. “Lieutenant Veronica McCallister, newly assigned Tactical Officer, reporting for duty, Captain.” she said; her voice steady, calm, and professional. As she stood looking straight ahead, her eyes took in the details of the room; she wanted to see if she could a feel for the kind of person her new Capatin was.
