David crossed the mess hall floor, the sharp clacks of his footsteps a juxtaposition to his overall extremely relaxed demeanor. He took the last tray of snack food he’d replicated from the incredibly helpful NE, and set it out on an empty table. True to his counseling background, the XO had decided it was long past time to know and check in on everyone on the crew, and therefore had earlier today sent out an announcement that anyone off shift was more than welcome to join him in the mess hall for an informal gathering at 1800. And it was indeed 1800. He sat down near the entrance, waiting for his crewmates to gather.

Enter Zekk, donned in his crisp Starfleet uniform, embodying the demeanor of a seasoned crewmen despite his Ferengi heritage. Arriving ahead of schedule, he seized the opportunity to meet the executive officer before the hustle and bustle of the crew filled the room. “Commander Morris,” Zekk approached, trotting across the mess hall. “It is good to see you again, I hope you’re still not looking for payment after helping me the other day!”

Alita stepped into the mess hall laden with a snack tray of her own. Sure, the first officer could replicate whatever he so chose but she would always be the de facto ships cook and would come prepared as such. She saw the commander and the new Ferengi petty officer and approached with a smile.

“Hello gentlemen, hope you don’t mind if I just set this anywhere. I got the announcement about a meet and greet and just couldn’t resist. I don’t think I’ve met you thus far. My name is Alita Claire and I’m the ship’s Chief of Security.” she said by way of introduction to zach. Alita was dressed in off duty casual, jeans and red blouse with a daring neckline.
