Dr. García, now properly settled into her office, was ready for her first task. She sat at her desk, with her freshly brewed coffee. Pulled up on the console in front of her was ‘The List’. Every officer onboard who was overdue an appointment, physical, or phycological exam. In the absence of a dedicated ship counselor, ‘The List’ was quite long. No matter, Rosa would have that fixed soon.

First name she would cross off was one Lieutenant Alice Spencer, the Chief Science Officer. So, with a tap on her badge she requested

=^= Lieutenant Spencer, please report to sickbay for medical examination. =^=

She took another sip of coffee as she waited for the response.

Alice looked up from her microscope and blew a lock of hair out of her face. It was not a bad time for the call but did anyone get yearly checkups? Maybe the security folks but not science. Science tended to only come when an experiment went awry. Standing up from her console, she tapped her comm badge. =/\=On my way Dr. Garcia=/\=

Five minutes later, Alice walked into sickbay. Looking around the room, she scanned the space for the person that called out to her. The Wolverine was not a huge ship so when Alice found a new face it was probably Dr. Garcia.

Rosa was rather hard to miss in sickbay. Her older-style effeminate uniform was short enough to show off her prosthetic leg. She wore her long hair with tasteful streaks of grey tied back in a stylish bun. One could see her sparkling eyes, quite literally sparkling in the case of her cybernetic one.

“Ah,” she said, catching sight of Alice, “Yes, you must be Lieutenant Spencer.”

Rosa walked over, PaDD in hand. “It says here you are overdue for your yearly physical. So please, have a seat and we can get started.” She gestured toward a few empty biobeds.
