Alita was able to get all the equipment into the shuttle and get the shuttle back to the Wolverine hopefully without incident. Once on board she would be glad to get out of this damn failing Eva suit.

In the end, the team that arrived looked at the faceted crystal device with its input ports and determined that they couldn’t do much in the shuttle bay. With Alita, they moved to engineering, where, soon after ..

By this point the small team working was at the point of giving something a try to make a connection with it. Jury rigged optical cabling snaked from the input ports to another makeshift device isolated from the ship’s main systems.
