Bryson sat idling behind his desk as he read over the PaDD that he held. Remy’s return delighted most, if not all of the crew. However, his return as fleet intelligence did pose a new question: What about Commander Claire? After all, she did hold the Intelligence role for a bit. He would have to clear any confusion his Security Chief had once and for all.

Alita had just finished a workout and was in no condition to present herself to the captain even if they knew each other fairly well.

=^=5 minutes sir, 10 if you want some of those brownies I made for last week’s poker game.=^=

=^= Take your time, Commander, there’s no rush…=^= Bryson ended the call, then placed his feet back onto the desk. There truly was no rush, as the Wolverine wasn’t on assignment at the moment, and there was a lot of shuffling around of the crew.

Alita arrived at the ready room in about 10 minutes. She carried a small plate of brownies and her own cup of coffee, specialty from earth, certainly couldn’t get that aboard the wolverine at the moment. She rang the chime and waited. She was fairly certain she knew what Bryson needed to discuss with her and was glad that there would be a conversation of some sort.

“Come in, Commander,” Bryson called out. As the Security Chief entered his Ready Room, the CO stood up to greet her. “Please, have a seat and lets get started.” Captain Erin said, gesturing to the empty chair in front of his desk. The CO noticed the plate of brownies and smiled, then returned to his seat.

Alita slid into the chair opposite the captain and set the brownies on the table between them. She and Aaron had been through so much together.

“So, what can I do for you? These are actually fresh out of the oven or what passes for an oven in my quarters please enjoy.”

“Thank you,” Bryson smiled, peering at the brownies once more before turning back to his COS. “As you’re quite aware, Remy has returned?” The Captain asked. “Starfleet has named him Intel Officer of the fleet, and he’s going to be assigned to the Wolverine, to oversee both ship and fleet intelligence.” Captain Erin stated, leaving no room for Alita to respond to his previous question.

“Obviously, you’ll maintain your role as COS, and oversee both the Security and Tactical department,” Erin slid a PaDD over to the COS, “That being said, Lieutenant Ben Park has been brought aboard to assist you with maintaining the Tactical portion of the Wolverine.”

Alita picked up the pad and perused it again. She already had a pretty damn good idea of what it said but the devil was in the details. She had learned that and so much more from being aboard the Wolverine.

“Yes, I’m certain you are very aware of just how certain I am that Remy is back. Let’s put that aside for the moment. I had a fairly good idea of the events that we’re going to take place. Thank you for actually being face to face and letting me know these things. I have a question for you, have you chosen a first officer?”

Alita hadn’t been aware she was going to ask the question and tell it was halfway spoken and hell, she can take it back now.
