Hey all,

I apologize for not posting recently, but I’ve been dealing with some family issues. My elderly mother went into the hospital about two weeks ago with pneumonia, and though she and the doctors tried their best to get rid of it, she finally decided enough was enough. She was tired of the pain, the difficulty breathing, and waking up with panic attacks in the middle of the night because she couldn’t breathe. It was time to let go. . . .

She promised to wait until she had a chance for all of grandchildren to come and say goodbye. All 5 kids got to do that on Friday and begged her not to go, but knew enough to respect her wishes.

On Saturday morning, she took her last breath with my sister and her loving husband by her side.

Suffice it to say, since Friday, I’ve been a bit out of sorts as I continuously try to wrap my mind around the fact that she will no longer be there. I thought I was more prepared for this day, but I was deluding myself. Please bear with me for a bit longer. I will get to posting soon.

That’s completely understandable. I’m sorry that you’re going through this Terry. My condolences to you and your family.
