“Correct, sir,” David said, stepping off the turbolift a minute after Alita. “There were also logs from three days ago by the Pythagoras’s medical officer, a man by the name of David Bartley. They were treating a Kein female named Weena at the time of the log.”Lt. JG David Morris
CNS/MedicAlita nodded and smiled slightly. She was happy to let David take over the conversation while she worked.
- Alita, MO/COS/CIO
“Unfortunately it can be anywhere but we can try.” Mikel answered.
“Computer run self diagnostic. Checikng your intership com channel did you detect and intrusion to the coms system and is that intrusion located anywhere else in the ships systems to include your own system?” He asked.
Petrov CE
=^= Negative. No inter ship intrusions were detected. All utilizations of Wolverine communications internal and external for the past standard day have all been verified as authentic. =^=
WookieeOOC: Minor correction on the above .. Romulan DNA was found on medical instrumentation. Kien blood DNA found on the biobed. .. Gene
“This is going to be fun....” The Captain groaned. Bryson shook his head, then turned to look at the Petrov. “I’m open to ideas, Commander because we just got trojan horsed…” Captain Erin stated.
“And you didn’t find any logs regarding that thing?” The CO asked the COS, referring to whatever might be running through the ship’s systems at the moment.
Erin
CO“No sir. And the best way to find such a thing might be to manually dig through the logs. Of course that is also the most tedious way to do it.” Alita explained.
- Alita, MO/COS/CIO
” I doubt digging through a ships logs that failed to stop it from happening is the best way to solve the problem.” Petrov said.
“Computer set up system roadblocks at all junctures to critical ship functions. Any anomaly no matter how insignificant that is detected reported to me. Run with the premises that the ship has a virus in its systems and is dormant. This includes your system.”
Mikel knew if the computer was compromised in some way to “lie” this would not help. However he would also have his team do this manually. Which would take hours but if they detected something and the computer did not then it would mean it was infected and acting against the ship. He grabbed the other engineer on the bridge. Gave him his instructions verbally and sent him to Engineering.

OOC: I’ll pause to allow Gene the chance to catch up on this thread :)
-Ray
Mikel found himself, in all strangeness, missing the old CO. For all his stupidity and quirkiness then man had grown on him. Not that he would ever admit that.
Petrov CE
Captain Erin paced the Bridge while the computer went to work doing its thing. Bryson felt as if they were in the waiting stage now. They had a team on the ground, another investigating a nearby Jem’Hadar ship, and a third checking out the holosuite for whatever may have gotten into the ship’s systems. The CO looked from Petrov, to the COS, and then to the Counselor, but remained quiet for the moment.
It appeared that the nearby warring factions continued to keep their distance for now, which was a good sign, but the imagination could only assume one of the sides had more information.
Erin
CO“I think they used to call this a Russian Stand off.” Mikel remarked.
Most would call it a Mexican Stand Off from a very old saying in antiquity of the 21st century. However Mikel knew better. It was a Russian saying.
Petrov CE
David sat at the empty auxiliary station, looking back at the captain and CE. “Indeed. At the moment, I don’t think we can do anything except wait for something to change. As little as it may help,” he continued, typing on the console, “I’ll start on those logs and see if anything turns up of use.”
David Morris, CNS
Mikel was surprised the CNS had replied back. He had not really intended to speak to anyone particularly.
“Indeed.” He answered.
He then did a check of all the ships systems to see if anything they had started had detected the malware or whatever one wanted to call this. He had zero trust in the main computer right now. If it had done its job previously the other ship would not be a derelict in space so he figured why try what has not worked.
Petrov CE
“I really hope there aren’t any Jem’Hadar on that Dominion ship....” Bryson said thinking out loud. He had blown up his last captaincy, literally, and didn’t want to add derelict of duty to that list by sending two men to their death.
CO
Alita didn’t like the thought of Jem’hadar or any of the other nastiness that this particular mission seemed to have been bringing up.
- Alita, MO/COS/CIO
“I’m not thinking Jem Hadar but at this point anything is possible. This doesn’t seem like Jem Hadar.” Mikel said out loud and more to himself than to Alita.

As the lift made it’s way to the bridge, former CO Remy Boudreaux wondered if it would feel strange seeing someone in command of his baby, someone else sitting in the center seat. He shook his head and pushed the thought away. He had served under Bryson previously on the Olympic as his special ops team leader. He knew Bryson was more than a competent commanding officer and was to see someone he trusted implicitly be in command of the Wolverine.
The difference was that this time, Remy was no longer Starfleet. He was now on board as a civilian intelligence “consultant”, doing what he could to help the Wolverine in her covert/black ops msiions when the situation arose.
The lift doors slid open and Remy was about to walk when he paused. Those on the bridge tha had served onboard when he was CO would recognize the unmistakable Cajun accent.
“Permis-SHON to enter de Bridge, Capitaine Erin?”
Boudreaux (Intel)
Bryson shook his head at the lack of information, then turned to towards the turbolift, “I guess they found good use of you, huh?” The Captain laughed, as he pulled his PaDD from his back pocket.
“I’m like a bad social disease, Captain. I keep poppine up jus’ as de party is gettine started.”
“Not much has changed, but we can now add a Jem’Hadar to the list…” The CO stated, extending the PaDD for Remy to read, ” I’ve got two men in a shuttle taking a look at it as we speak.” Erin glanced over at Alita. He didn’t want her getting riled up if something happened to her team.
Erin (CO)
The former captain took the PaDD from his old friend and scanned it to bring himself up to speed..
Megan looked over that the man than just arrived on the ship. His accent was distinct and memorable. She had met him at her brother’s wedding and found much humor in the fact he had married Duncan and her new sister-in-law instead of the stuffy Archbishop of Canterbury. A smile crossed her face as she looked at him and nodded as he entered the bridge.
Megan Rhodes CSO
David spun to face the new arrival. He’d never met Captain Boudreaux, but had of course heard of the man. He turned from his analysis and sat with a hand supporting his head, watching the events unfold.
Morris, CNS
Mikel remained at his station and acted as if the arrival of the once Captain of the Wolverine meant little to nothing to him. Secretly he hoped the man would come by as he had in a strange way missed having his presence on board.
Petrov CE
Remy glanced around the bridge and looked at the eager new faces on board. His glance finally fell on the back of the head of the chief engineer.
“Good to see you, too, LCDR Petrov,” Remy said. Taking a few steps toward the CE, he added, “While on my ‘respite’, I was able to raid my family’s wine cellar. You’ll never guess what I found? An almos’ 400 year old full bottle of Stolichnaya vodka. I ‘ave been savine it jus’ fo’ you.”
Boudreaux (Intel)
“He’s going to need it if this thing starts wreaking havoc on the ship’s computer,” Bryson laughed, half-jokingly. Remy’s return meant they’d have a permanent Intel Office and Alita would be able to go back to focusing on Security matters.
Erin
COMikel had turned around slowly and had expected to remain stoic. However hearing that the Captain had brought Stolichnaya he grinned despite himself.
“Captain. Stolichnaya. I was under the impression that it was no longer available as the remaining bottles were now in the national Russian Vodka Museum. Unless of course this is a knock off.” He added.
Mikel was pretty certain this was the real thing. He knew some private collectors had some stock but it was very rare.
Alita gave Remy a sharp glance before looking back down and concentrating on her work. So he had had time to roll around in his family’s wine cellar but didn’t go see Anna for at least a few hours when she needed someone desperately. Liza had told Alita that Anna was barely hanging on to reality and if they didn’t get her to Vulcan, and then on to Betazed soon, there would be no moving her from that house in California. When it was obvious Remy wasn’t going to show up, Alita had to tell Liza to go ahead with the plan, she being the only blood relative reachable at the time.
Damn tha Cajun… she thought.
OOC: Anyone going to tell Alita she’s not the CIO anymore?
- Alita, MO/COS
Mikel Petrov CE
Remy caught the glare from Alita and wondered what it was about. As he moved to the mission specialist’s console behind the captain’s seat, it hit him like a ton of bricks. Anna!! He was to have gone and spent some time with her before it was too late. He cursed himself for forgetting, but with everything going on with Sabine, his father’s death., and Section 31, it had totally slipped his mind. He was going to pay for that faux pas, and rightly deserved whatever Alita was going to serve him.
Now wasn’t the time to worry about it though. The Wolverine’s situation was the issue at hand.
Boudreaux (Intel)
OOC: Fixing a split :)
IC: Bryson was hoping they’d leave the bottles unopened until they were at least off shift. He didn’t want anyone stumbling around the Bridge in a drunken stupor. However, the Captain felt that he might just join them out of frustration of not finding any answers to their many questions.
Erin (CO)
Alita had settled her thoughts again. Everything would be dealt with in due time and, if she had her way, that time would be short. A drink did sound good though no matter what the poison was.
- Alita, MO/COS
Mikel waved an ensign over.
“My quarters please. Don’t drop it.” He said handing it to the confused ensign.
The ensign thought to complain but then thought again. Lt. Cmd Petrov was known to be less than pleasant and he figured he better just do it.
Petrov CE
“I agree “ =^= this is ensign black we located the Jem’hadar vessel no life signs, yet we certainly don’t know if they are in the cavern we sense an ambushing situation . =^=
Ensign James black security
=^= Are you able to beam aboard, Ensign?=^= Captain Erin asked, glad to finally receive an update from the team. =^= If so, head to their command center and see if you’re able to gather and logs..=^= Bryson was hoping to kill two birds with one stone; find out how that ship got here, and see what the Dominion is up to.
Erin
COFor once Mikel was happy not to be on an Away Team. His job was on the ship and not being bait for whomever or whatever came along. Much less the Jem Ha’Dar.
Mikel Petrov CE
=^= we are suited up and armed, ready to beam aboard with your go ahead.=^=
Ensign James black security
The Captain paused for a moment, a slight hesitation. “Remy, can you take a shuttle and head over to that ship with the away team, you’ll know what information to look for, and we need that area searched fast.”
Erin (CO)
“Aye, mon Capitan,” Remy replied. “I’ll take Shuttle Logan over an’ access de logs an’ transmit de info’ma-SHON as soon as I can.”
With that confirmation, the Intel officer made his way to the airlock where his personal ship was docked. . . .
Boudreaux (Intel)
Alita glanced at Remy and then at the Captain. She knew he was a civilian intelligence officer but nobody had said anything to her about just how, or if, her role on the ship would be changing. It didn’t matter if he were her former Captain or her lover, nobody was pushing her out of her position without a god damned discussion. Since she hadn’t been told to go on this particular mission however, she stayed at her station and said nothing.
- Alita MO/COS
“Alita, you might as well join him.... I don’t want Starfleet Intelligence on my tail if he dies,” Bryson said to his COS. The CO hoped that the two of them could ease whatever tension that was currently filling the Bridge. “…just get anything useful and get back here as soon as possible.”
Erin (CO)
Alita glanced at the captain, clearly he didn’t understand the role he played in the current tension on the bridge but that could be dealt with at a later time. She merely nodded turned and Left to follow remy. They could most definitely work things out between the two of them.
- Alita, MO/COS
With most of his senior officers off the ship, Bryson left his seat at the center and walked behind it to the Mission Ops console. “Surely there’s going to be more information that comes to light after the team beams to that ship,” The Captain said aloud to anyone listening.
The CO was going to monitor the situation from the MO console, while performing a new scan of the surrounding area.
Erin (CO)
OOC: Is there anyone on this thread still on the Bridge?
-Ray
OOC: Any crew left on the ship that can be on the bridge relief crew? .. Otherwise there can be a cast of thousands, there Skipper for answering questions.
WookieeOOC: David’s still on the bridge in the corner! (Sorry, was caught up with IRL)
“Lieutenant Morris, what do you think our options would be for next step?” Bryson asked. The Wolverine had a multipronged approach on what they could do, though the CO was seeing if Morris could prioritize what might be important to the mission vs a foot note in the Captain’s log.
Erin (CO)
“Well, sir,” David said, “We should remain ready to beam the away team back over if they run into danger. Our options past that will rely greatly on the information in these logs and what the away team finds - whatever they find will alter our understanding of the situation, so it would be unwise to make any major decisions until new information comes to light. I recommend we maintain our current status of readiness, but do not yet act further. The most critical information would be that of the away team, as the logs are less current and will only aid in understanding what led to what is happening now.” He turned back to the logs, but with posture indicating he was not ignoring the captain.David Morris
CNSOOC: Hey Gene, would you be able to paint us a picture of what the logs would say? :)
-Ray
The logs would likely be system related - ship status, communications channels if open, perhaps sensor information if active, tactical status as that would give information away. While a lot of that would be ship status the pieces could be put together to fathom what had happened by science and engineering for sure.
