John Polizzi was told to report to the Department of Temporal Investigations in order to get to the USS Wolverine. He wasn’t told why, just that they would have the means to get to the Wolverine immediately. When he arrived, he was instructed to put on a blindfold. Led by two Department of Temporal Investigations Agents, he was led through a series of passageways, hallways and stairs to a room. In the room, his blindfold was removed. He noticed a Starfleet Engineer present and what appeared to be a transporter.

“Please step on the transporter pad, sir.”

Once John was on the pad, the Starfleet Engineer said, “Energizing!”

And with that he disappeared… into the past.

A surprised Transporter Chief in Transporter Room 2 discovered the transporter being activated and found himself a Starfleet officer materializing before him. He activated the security force field around the transporter.
