T’Mor have finally come to realize that despite her scientific interest, she could not simply keep overrunning her quarters with plant specimens. She had accumulated quite that collection of sprouts of many different species. It was manageable while they were all still young seedlings. However, as all living things they grew over time. At this point they had overrun her storage space, overgrown her bedside trellis, and overflowed their pots on the table. It was to the point her bunk-mates insisted that something must be done.

To grow so attached to her specimens to insist that they must stay in her quarters was simply illogical. Though it would have been more efficient to dispose of the excess plants, it would have also been wasteful. So through word of mouth and private communications she has sent out a message through the ship: For the next 36 hours, the plants were available for relocation. Afterwards, the rest would be destroyed. Gleefully, her bunk-mate NE agreed to spend their recreational shift helping to “re-home” the plants. Though in return, T’Mor was now using her down-time to complete the same task.

James heard about T’mor’s dilemma, and figured he could help by taking a plant. But what kinds is she getting rid of? He needs a hearty one.

James would have come in and seen a large variety of plants, all neatly separated into grey plastic cups labeled with their correct taxonomical names.Remaining were a few samples of genetically engineered catnip topped with purple and gold flowers, mixed varieties of succulents, a small collection of herbs like basil and mint, and some small crop-producing plants like sweet-pea and tomato. Upon seeing Ensign James, she thought for a moment. And then, picking up one of the cups, she approached him,

“Perhaps Pilea cadeirei ?” T’Mor suggested, “Drought resistant, low maintenance, and safe for most pets.”
