The sensor alarm of the SS Gambit began beeping on the console of the ships cockpit. The USS Wolverine was finally within sensor range and former captain Remy Boudreaux smiled as he slid into the pilots seat.

Who says you canno’ go ‘ome again, he thought. He had been the Wolverine’s first and only captain until he resigned his commission to handle some family iasues back on Earth. He was glad to see the his friend and former XO, Bryson Erin had been given command of his ship. He knew she was in good hands with Bryson in charge.

A comm came in, shaking him out of his reverie. =^=This is the USS Wolverine, under the command of Captain Erin. Please identify yourself.=^=

Remy replied, =^=Dis is Remy Boudreaux, in command of de SS Gambit. I’m transmittine a security code dat needs to be confirmed by your CO or XO, only to confirm my identity. Once confirmed, I’m requestine to dock at airlock 1 on de port side.=^=

Remy docked his ship and shut down the engines. Making one final check, he moved toward the airlock. With a hiss, the doors opened and he stepped onto the deck of his old home. . . .
