=^=Wolverine, can you spare a shuttle to pick us up? =^= The XO called out, =^= We might have something Petrov would want to look at, and transporters might make it riskier. =^=

Erin (XO)

“Logs ready. I can route them to the viewscreen if you want or keep them here on my console screen?” Petrov said speaking to the Captain.

He was a little curious to know what they had found that he would be so interested in.

It was shortly after this message that the young Vulcan Ensign exited the turbo lift onto the main bridge. T’Mor slipped onto the bridge and almost tip-toed over to Petrov. Though still standing at attention, there was a slight tilt in her stance toward the Chief Engineer. Bits of plant matter fell from her jet-black hair onto the floor and console. She clutched a PADD in her hands in front of her.

“Sir,” she said, barely above a whisper,

“This is the Environmental Hazards Report that was supposed to be aboard The Howlett. The science team was unable to complete it before the shuttle launch.”

She paused, glancing away for a moment toward the captain. Perhaps this wasn’t the best time, she thought. Especially if anyone on the bridge were to inquire why the reports were late.

” I was instructed that you, Lieutenant Commander, would be the one who could send it securely to the landing party. With Captain Boudreaux’s permission, of course.”

She held out the PADD toward him.

“I’m not entirely sure to what you refer.” He said to T’Mor. Which was true.

“Better to wait for them to come back to the ship I think.” He added.

“It is important that they receive this information, per regulations.”

[OOC: I’m not trying to imply anything important in the report, just that it was late. - Ava H.]

Petrov CE

OOC: With the CO no longer with us, Petrov can make the next move :)

Assuming Command Petrov waved off the report.

He then pushed the button to put the logs on the main screen as he sat down once again in the COs chair. I feeling he was a little more comfortable with this time.

Petrov CE

=^=Petrov to XO shuttle on its way.=^=

Petrov nodded to Ops to launch the shuttle.

T’Mor stood to the side quietly for a moment, PADD in hand. She wasn’t exactly sure how to interpret all of the planetary scans and data contained in the report. Though she had skimmed through the section that had mentioned “Biosphere Predictions”, to see what she could deduce about potential plant life on the planet.

“Sir,” she addressed Petrov again, “I understand that you are occupied with other matters. Is there a way I myself could securely transfer the report to the shuttle? The information could be important for the safety of the away team. Lieutenant Rhodes would be the most qualified to review this report regardless.”

A menu came up on the logs showing log options from the Captain, XO, CSO and CE. There was no COS; given the limited crew of the Pythagoras, the XO did double duty as Security. By nature of the filtering, the logs were ‘faded’ in text options to only show logs since the Pythagoras arrived at the Myst System. There were:
Captain - 3 logs
XO - 2 logs
CSO - 6 logs
CE - 1 log

Bryson was on his way to the Bridge when he received word that the CO had a family emergency back home and had to leave right away. Commander Erin knew he’d reach out in a matter of time, but they had work to do and Bryson couldn’t let the mission at hand leave his cross hairs.

“What to do got?” Commander Erin asked as the turbolift to the Bridge opened. Bryson took out the PaDD from his pocket as he approached the CE, and handed it to the man. “From the container we found on the ship, Chief.” The Commander stated.

There were other files that were related to system diagnostics and the like, sensor reports etc, though the logs were what were foremost on that, the adaptive AI evidently considering logs were more likely the target of the bridge crew than other diagnostics.

bump for whoever wants to give the XO an update on what was found :)

Mikel handed it to T’Mor. “Make it so.”

He had decided she could do the work.

“Report immediately on the findings.” He ordered her.

“Looks like we will know in a second.....Captain.” Mikel said knowing that in effect the XO was the functional Captain of the ship at the moment.

Petrov CE

Bryson nodded in reply. “Have we heard back from Rhodes and his team yet?” Commander Erin asked as he pulled up the lasted report from the Science Chief. “Hopefully the shuttle didn’t fill with water....” The aCO mumbled to himself. He was referencing a past mission when the CMO allowed her sickbay to get submerged.

Erin (aCO)

T’Mor narrowed her eyes slightly while looking at the PaDD. Then quickly looked back up at Petrov, making sure that her expression returned to neutral.

“Yes, sir.” she said coldly. With a quick nod as she took the PaDD and stacked it on top of the first.

The report would have to wait, but she was certain this was justified. This new order superseded her previous instructions. She began by uploading the data to the auxiliary consul on the bridge, using the basic security safeguards taught at the academy. Then read through the list of items the AI had drawn attention to. She debated looking into the CSO’s logs first, partially out of curiosity. Though that was not the logical, or rather the expected, choice.

“Bringing up the recovered logs now, sir. The first three are from the Captain of the Pythagoras.”

The screen came up with the first of the Captain’s logs, which happened to be the last chronologically.
“Captains’s Log, Supplemental.” .. The image that came up was that of a thin Vulcan male whose age was definitely North of 100, with steel grey hair cropped short, prominent eyebrows, thin dark eyes, and sculpted cheekbones. As was typical of a Vulcan, expression was not precisely effusive. “The Kein and Wis conflict has become too close for comfort. Our attempt at communication with the Wis vessel resulted in a feedback wave that destroyed our communications and sensor arrays. They understood our communications attempt as a hostile act and had begun making an attack run at us. Something, however, changed their mind in their final approach to weapons range and they left. The feedback wave has caused other systemic issues in our EPS conduit system and, at the end, caused a failure in the transporter system. I’ve ordered our crew to beam down to the world and attempt to repair the subspace transmitter there that the archaeologists have. It is only myself and my medical officer who remains.”

Alita had taken care of everything she needed to before stepping back onto the bridge and reviewing the captain’s log. Seeing the Vulcan definitely explained the Sehlat in her mind.

“Has everybody seen this yet?”

Alita, MO/COS/CIO

“Most likely not sir,” T’Mor said, eyes still locked on the screen. Her right hand occupied, making quick notes onto one of the PaDDs for her report: attempt to communicate with Wis, unexplained feedback, taken as hostile, ship damaged by feedback, etc. She noted the stardate on the log as well, to keep the notes organized in sequence.

“I was ordered to review the information, and will report to the Captain the most relevant discoveries. As of now, I will be attempting to create some sort of… timeline, of the events prior to our arrival.”

T’Mor glanced at Alita, her sharp eyebrows slanted downward.
“It is curious. “ she continued, “The Wis attacked the Pythagoras. Then, suddenly broke off with no indication as to why.”

“We need more information.” T’Mor said, snapping her focus back to the counsel. She continued to the second of the Captain’s logs.

~€> Ensign T’Mor, Science

“Play the rest of the logs, Ensign,” Bryson stated, finding the need to gather more information regarding the Wis. “Alita, can you contact the away team and get an update from them?” The aCO asked as he made his way over to the Ops station.

=^= Petty Officer Osa, please report to the Bridge. =^= Commander Erin called out. Bryson was intending on having him work with Petrov on figuring out the storage box.

Alita nodded at Brysone and opened the comms channel.

=^=Commander Claire to the away team. Requesting sit rep.=^=
