The communication console on the shuttle craft chirped. When answered, it was the captain checking in. =^Lt. Rhodes, report on de scientists an’ dere research. Were we able to retrieve everytine dat was necessary?=^=

Alita arrived a few minutes later with Cel in tow as instructed.

=/\= Captain this is Rhodes =/\= came the calm and clipped English accent of the CSO over the comm line. The line was staticky, as if there was interference on it but it wasn’t enough to prevent communication anymore.

=/\= We had a few complications retrieving it what with volcanic sink holes opening beneath us and magma deciding to bloom like a butterfly into lava, but we didn’t lose anyone and I have the data loaded into the shuttle’s computer. We had to abandon the equipment however, hover sleds don’t like hovering without ground under them apparently. Imagine that. I also discovered that Scientists are able to compress themselves into a much smaller space when the threat of being left behind on an exploding planet is a possibility. I think we achieved some kind of record for loading scientists onto a shuttle. The comm’s weren’t working and have just come back online now, so we are ETA five minutes out from the Wolverine, Captain. =/\=
